What would ruin,.. or what HAS ruined a hero for You?

Pete pimp slapping MJ (don't own it, didn't read it, I mainly ignore it) was a bit of a character change in the Clone saga.

I believed that happened during " am the Spider" nonsense where peter was trying to be Spiderman 24/7,.. not during the clone saga.

Agent Zero. It was a terrible series that killed one of the few Jim Lee characters with a decent backstory. Maverick in my mind has always been an underused, under appreciated character. Yeah, his design is boderline ridiculous but his backstory is great, and in his mini back when he had the Legacy virus was great. Heck he's a guy who shot and killed his own brother to save both Logan and Creed during the Cold War, something Logan mentioned that he respects.

What has happend to him now???? Limbo trash...

Always thought that was sloppy.

Yeah...that wasn't the best highlight of the Clone Saga. MJ being pregnant when he did it, and whatnot.

It didn't help things out when one of the next comic covers after that incident had Peter holding MJ by the shirt with a menacing glare.

I'm not sure, I was boycotting at the time, but I was led to believe that it happened while MJ was pregnant.

It did. I think it was when he was fighting with Ben. She tried to stop it and got decked in the process. According to Peter and what goes down, it's an accident. But MJ sees it differently.

I always wondered how he had enough force to start rattling a superhuman yet consciously held back enough to backhand her with the least amount of force needed to give a less-than-spectacular hit. A bit convenient for an accident.

Peter outright Pym-slapped MJ when Seward Trainer's test revealed he was the clone.

I believe that was the moment I was referring too, no need to post pics, I'll keep my eyes virgin to the whole matter and just pretend I was dreaming.

That's the only time I know of Peter hitting her. He went kind of crazy, so whether you can hold him accountable for it is debatable, much like Hank Pym.

Yup he was twisted.

You have to cut him some slack because he's spiderman.
:whatever:

No slack. Peter Parker would never hit MJ under any circumstances, write otherwise and I'll put a jihad on you.

Oh no.

I'm not cutting him any slack,... the industry keeps cutting him slack because he's Spiderman.
Spiderman gets a free pass.

He can Get his Uncle killed, Kill his Blond Girlfriend, Smack his red-haired wife, Beat Firelord, work with Loki, Threaten to Kill The Kingpin,................

and it's all okay cause he's Spiderman.:whatever:

Out of those matters only hitting his wife gets me upset. (and loki is just a misunderstood prankster, I'd help him out too.)

Working with Loki's nothing big. Loki wasn't even doing anything bad at the time.

It does suck how Hank hitting Jan is constantly held against him but nothing's ever come of Peter hitting MJ. That's some serious double-standard bull****.

I wouldn't work with Loki. Not because of any kind of moral reason, but because I'd be afraid he'd dick me over somehow.

We are agreed that loki is awesome.

It's probably because the Jan thing was out and public and hank is kinda a dick that would probably slap his wife around. The pete thing was the most out of character thing I've ever read in the MU and that's saying something.l

Yes I do. Thor's cool don't get me wrong, but if you actually look at a lot of the stories loki is kinda inbetween on most issues. He actually saves a lot of people (children especially) by outwitting his opponents rather than just doing the whole "I'm a god, my will be done" thing. I was a pretty big fan of norse culture growing up and they prized two things above all else: bravery and cunning (not just intellect but wit and guile). The only thing more honorable than defeating your opponent in close combat was to defeat them utterly with your mind without raising your hand at all.

Plus I generally empathasize more with the villian than the hero.

How is Hank a dick? He's been a perfectly normal, decent guy for most of his existence. If we take out his hitting her during a major mental breakdown, Jan was more of a ***** than Hank was a dick, to be honest. She flirted shamelessly with every other Avenger all the time.
