Transformers What's the best toy version of G1 GRIMLOCK?

Because of his enormous legs Grimlock appears to be very well balanced. I still don't like the fact that he's shorter than Prime and more costly than any masterpiece transformer. He even contains less diecast parts. I just don't understand the cost.

here's a thread over at Seibertron that has several new photos of the final release of Masterpiece Grimlock, including a direct side-by-side comparison with MP Prime....

So yes, MP Grimlock is roughly the same scale as MP Starscream and thus a few inches shorter than Prime and Megatron. Still a great looking toy though. Hopefully a few diecast parts around the waist area like the classic G1 version.

Looks pretty awesome overall! I was hoping for a Diaclone-type cockpit in the back, but the flip-up panel that holds the laser gun on the back is a satisfying substitute. There were only a couple diecast metal parts on the original G1 Grimlock (hips and interior chest hinge), so if those are diecast on the MP version too, that will be good enough for me.

I saw a diagram that said the red waist piece was metal. Whether it was legit or not I can't say.

after seeing that video, now i REALLY want him. his transformation is more simplifed that the other MP figs mainly more simple than Meg and the 'seekers'. and I love that you can change his eye color from red (like the G1 toy) to blue (like the cartoon). I cannot WAIT to get him .
