The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

I hadn't read this book in years and had forgotten how lovely the prose is. It's also considerably sadder than I remember it being. Gatsby appears a little less sympathetic to me now, and Daisy a little more so.

The Kill Room by Jeffrey Deaver.

How is that? I generally like Deaver's one off books. Not so much his series characters.

That one was pretty rough. =\

Terry Goodkind is a god among authors.

Last night I read Warhammer 4000 - Horus Heresy #1. I'm way into this series now. Brutal, violent space opera, reads like I wish the Star Wars novels would.

The Hides ~ Kealan Patrick Burke

finished two books last night

now im a few chapters into Desecration

i actually started that last night!

i'm on chapter 9 i think, considering it has 104 chapters or so, i'm only about 10% in it lol

Haha Yeah it has, but to be fair the chapters are pretty short, and once you get into the story it happens to be quite the page turner. I did enjoy it, but I am a Dan Brown fan!

i've read all his books and I've read Digital Fortress twice

Another good story! Admittedly I did get into his books through the Da Vinci Code, and read everything from there. Just something about how he paces his storys makes them engaging and easy to breeze through!

Next up I have 24 Declassified: Operation Hell Gate to read.

The Chronicles of the Raven: Dawnthief by James Barclay. Great if you like barbarian protagonists. It looks as if the heroes will wind up scoring a pyrrhic victory.

Just finished Book 2 of A Song of Ice & Fire "A Clash of Kings" (George R.R. Martin)

Now it's time to start book 3 (we'll see if I can finish it before Season 4 starts :oldrazz:)

Lonely Songs of Laren Dorr~ George RR Martin.

What a lovely, lovely tale of companionship.

Mortal Kombat the Movie Novelization. I like reading the novelizations as they give quite a bit more detail as to what's going on.

Just started Heat Wave by Richard Castle ;)

Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer

It was OK. Foer's writing is very creative, but it's so verbose that it bogs down the pace of the story. The book also some plot points that are fairly disposable when all is said and done. I did appreciate the different styles he used for the different narrators, though.
