Decent but...wait for it...book was better. Seriously, book is more cinematic.

Woody's best since Match Point.

You can say the book is better (Even though I think comparing movies to books are unfair), but I'm calling BS on the book being more cinematic, especially with the Battle of Hogwarts and the final battle between Harry and Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

First X-men and now Harry Potter has finally made a film that I can like. Before this I've only seen 3 Potter films, I hated the first potter film and the last 2 were really boring. Now finally I can say that this last film was really spectacular, the flashback scene was easily my favorite in the film. The real final battle was great but it lacked suspense when it went down. Other than that it was solid.

8.5/10

I probably am being unfair--they probably did as good a job as they could with all the material. I did like the expanded fight, but Harry's verbal smackdown of Voldemort isn't there and that for me was the climax of the entire series! Harry strips Voldemort of his name, his mystery, and his ego. He morally triumphs over the dark lord without having to raise a wand, if I remember right, especially since he also gives Voldemort a chance to repent. And he lets Voldemort know that Snape was disloyal to him. Harry destroys Voldemort there without touching him.

Also watched a documentary called Isabella Rossellini: My Wild Life.

Transformers 3 IMAX.

1st time I watched it was a nightmare. Advice: Never watch a Michael Bay film when you're tired.

Bringing Out the Dead

Watch this movie at 3am, in the winter time and welcome to my life.

5/5

It is definately one of those films that I love to watch somewhere between midnight and dawn.

Simple storyline done to perfect length, lovable characters, old-fashioned (looking) animation. Unfortunately I missed the "Ballad of Nessie" short. A lot of fun.

Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - 5.5/10

Green Zone - 8.5/10

Battle of Algiers - 10/10

Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - 5.5/10

Glad I'm not the only one who didn't gush over it. My score was higher than yours, but it was lacking. For being the final film it could have had a better showdown at the end and it felt rushed at times.
