The Descendants

George Clooney truely shines as Matt King a wealthy lawyer who is also the sole trustee of 25,000 acres of land in Hawaii.But the wife who he has become distant from is now in a coma,and now he must find a way to connect to the daughters 10 year old Scottie (Amara Miller) and 17 year old Alex (Shailene Woodley)
he has also grown distant from.
Directed by Alexander Payne,who is an expert of blending humor,sadness,and reflection on life and the consequences of one actions,this is one soulful piece of work.
Clooney is perfect as a man trying to suppress his own anger and sadness even after finding out the worst about the person he loves.
Some of the film feels a bit repetitive and drawn out at times,but its still an enjoyable roller coaster of emotion.Clooney should expect a lot of award nominations.
Scale of 1-10 an 8½
