The Devils Double

Dominic Cooper pulls off a tremendous performance as two polar opposite characters (Uday Hussein and Latif Yahia). When Cooper plays Uday (who in real life is incredibly Insane) is almost scary at times, it's almost like seeing Scarface. This movie plays off as a gangster film of all things and it's pretty good.
8.5/10

The movie uses it's low budget pretty well and the director builds up the tension nicely. The two female leads are solid but the three males (one is the irritating son from Terra Nova) are pretty poor, although the annoying jock improves as it goes along. It actually gets really creepy right up until the last 10 minutes when it pulls an ending out of the bag that is.......errr......conflicting. 6.5/10

The Land Before Time: 9/10 one of my fave animated movies i love watching every thanksgiving time, i remembered seeing this at the movies about 4 times when i was 7 and loved it, i even had the merchandise to the film including the Pizza Hut puppets.

The Muppets: 8/10 solid reboot that brings the muppets back on their feet.

Horror Movie in the ship:
Deep Rising (1998) my score 7, more sequel
Ghost Ship (2002) my score 7, good, shock, & more sequel too

Hugo - 8/10

About 15 or 20 minutes too long but nevertheless a good story. It's great to see Scorsese take on different material. And he handles children's material incredibly well. I can see what attracted him to this project. Much of the movie is about the magic of cinema and what we should still remember and preserve which was nice. Even the film itself feels like a silent film. The performances were all good, particularly Hugo, and I really enjoyed Sasha Baron Cohen. The 3D was excellent. Not since Avatar have I seen 3D that actually feels like it should be apart of the film. It would play fine without it, but seeing the old movies done in 3D was quite a spectacle. The oldest kind of film matched with the newest technology was a terrific idea. It shows that 3D shouldn't be dismissed and can be used artistically. Is it neccessary? Not really, but for what it is, it pulled me in and enchanced the children's story book imagery, combine with some of the best cinematography I've seen this year.

Great visuals, nice action. Awful tacked on story that went nowhere 6/10

Godzilla Raids Again, AKA: Gigantis The Fire Monster

Tron: Legacy

I liked it. Glad to see Hollywood is at least capable of following up on a 28 year old film, without it being a reboot-remake-rewhatever.
