50/50

A fantastic dramedy that is real and honest. The entire cast was great and had a great balance of comedy and drama that didn't feel forced. What also made this movie work was Michael Giacchino's score, It really worked near the end of the film. It's worth watching even if you aren't familiar with people with cancer (I don't know anyone with cancer but it even resonates with me).

The Making of South Park: 6 Days to Air

A great look behind the scenes of South Park Studios. It stuns me how they are able to think of an episode less than a week before it airs not to mention them animating it. It also shows that these guys aren't just goofing around when it comes to making their show. There's a lot of hard work that goes into making these shows.
9/10

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid and it's sequel DOAWK:Roddrick Rules, I'm in my 30's and normally I would avoid kiddie crap but I was bored and HBO just so happened to be showing them that I found myself laughing at it, the humor reminded me of the classic sitcoms on TGIF or some of the tolerable Disney shows like Wizards Of Waverly Place.

Jurassic Park: 5/5

This film truly is a classic. I haven't seen it since I was little and I still love it, even if I hate the kids and the whole "I know UNIX" (pathetic attempt at wrapping up a situtation).

This film still truly hold up well today. The animatronics are BRILLIANT, and better than half the crap Hollywood churns out. John Williams Strikes Again! Had to make that dramatic :p great score from him.

Mortal Kombat (1995), my score 7

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - 8 or 9 out of 10

Definitely better than I was expecting it to be. It seems crappy trailers can mask a good film just like a great trailer can mask a crappy film. Well paced, and as good as the plot is to set up the apes with the human characters being a catalyst to their rise, The Apes are the true stars of this movie. It's truly about them. And wow, WETA did some powerful work. The fact they managed to make me feel for them and understand them is a testament to the director and animators. There's some great themes here too. It also raises questions as to how far we should treat animals this sort. Should we treat these animals with respect and indivduality or control them? Who is superior? Who has the higher right to be here? Humans are controlling and violent creatures who take things for granted. It's justifiable to see why they did this. The idea of using the primate as a foundation to these questions makes the most sense and asks for more thought than any other animal would, especially how the original film asks interesting questions of its own. Which by the way, this film has some nice nods to the original which I enjoyed. I'm intrigued by the idea of a sequel. I want to see the next step in the rising.

Real Steel. Great movie, cliches and cheesiness and all. Genuinely heart warming.

George of the Jungle 9/10

Still one of my favorite movies, jokes are pretty witty and fun, though cheesy. Sequel is forced and bland
