The Hunger Games--8/10
The shift from the first-person viewpoint of the novel improved the story in some ways, but there were a couple changes/omissions that, while not quite significant, made a difference for the worse. I was fine with the shooting style, though I would have liked a little less camera movement in a couple of the fight scenes.
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol--8.5/10
Except for not having any great characters (the achilles heel of the MI series has always been that Ethan Hunt and co. are good but not remarkable action heroes), it was awesome. Brad Bird's action sequences are some of the best I've seen in recent years and the fun is non-stop. It's like seeing one of the over-the-top, gadget-filled James Bond movies, only made today.
