Hilarious. Asner was perfect for Mr Fredricksen. Completely nailed the role of an old man making sure of his promise to his deceased wife. The movie had a lot of depth too. Like conservation.

Few nitpicks:
-some unnecessary interactions
-few boring stretches

Ikiru.

Strangely, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Still very good, though.

The Princess Bride
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie
The Dark Knight Rises

The Birdcage

The last 2/3 of the movie were very funny. I miss Robin Williams in good comedies.

Terminator 2

Batman Begins (2005)

The Dark Knight (2008)

Gearing up to see TDKR a 2nd time.

Some catching up to do since I saw some of these a while back.

Great much needed live action origin movie for Batman. Amazing cast. Much desired (by me anyway) substance was brought back to the series and in many ways its truer to the spirit of the character than most other incarnations.

The Dark Knight

A classic of the genre that ups the ante. Really cool that the movie becomes more crime thriller mixed with moral fable. At the very least its as good as Begins and in some ways its better. Ledger's Joker was a revelation.

The Dark Knight Rises

Not quite as good as the first two IMO but it was a hell of a ride. Probably the most fun of the series. Bale at his best and Hardy was a beast as Bane.

Superman Returns

Moderately good but flawed film. It doesn't quite work as well as it should but what it does well it does very well. Rouths good. GREAT score. A shame they'll never get a shot to pull a "Star Trek II."

Creepshow

So much FUN. Before Dick Tracy or 300 or Sin City THIS was an impressive literal visual translation of a comic books style. Popeye tried it before but Creepshow succeeds more than Popeye did. George Romero brings some of that same bold splashy style he had in Dawn of The Dead to Creepshow but the tone is more fun. I love the segments, "Something to Tide You Over", "The Crate", and "Fathers Day." Leslie Nielsen made for an entertaining villain. The film is a great nod to EC Comics.

Creepshow 2

First time seeing this one. Not as good as the first one but two of the segments are good. I think the best one is Stephen King's "The Raft."

No Holds Barred

First time seeing it in years. Script? What script? ;D Its sooooo bad its good. Joan Severance has great legs. Kurt Fuller is amusing as an evil television executive. I did enjoy the final match between Hogan and Lister in an absurd kind of way.

Ready To Rumble

Wanted to watch this movie back to back with NHB. Not that good but it actually has its moments and has SOME kind of plot even though its silly. Its better made than NHB anyway. Oliver Platt actually tries to do something with such an over the top role and Martin Landau is pretty funny.

Heavy Metal

Pretty awesome in a bad way.

Hugo (2012). Entertaining, fun cast, and a nice surprise to me what Ben Kingsley's character really was all about. It will be interesting to see what will come of Chloe Moretz' caréer in the future.

Batman Begins (2005). It's actually better than I remember last time I saw it. Next in line is of course TDK again, before I go to the theaters for the conclusion of this already classic trilogy.
