Bad Ass

A pretty straightforward action film that is very loosely based on that transit fight video a couple years back. Danny Trejo was solid as the lead, but the entire film felt like it needed a higher level of absurdity to make it memorable.

The Cabin in the Woods

I heard many different things about this beforehand but this was a pretty creative horror film. The first part of this film was very paint by numbers horror film to the point where I got bored by it. Once the last 30 mins kicked in, I was thrilled. I wished they added another 30 mins expanding that part of the film, it was in a way like Hostel meets Rat Race meets Thirteen Ghosts. Too bad you had to sit through the standard horror part that tried to be meta like the Scream films.

Used to love that movie very much. Its a shame it still hasn't gotten a proper dvd release.
