What's The Last Movie You Watched?

This SyFy movie called Toxic Shark which is every bit as bad as you think. It's a shark that shoots toxic crap from a hole in its head and zombifies anyone it doesn't eat.
The idea sounds like delightful cheese.

red sparrow.

vomit powder
Is that your view of the movie or the name of an obscure movie?

Thank you.
I was wondering the same thing. :funny:

At the theatre: Black Klansman
At home: Ocean's Eight

The Dark Knight

First time in IMAX. Got a little emotional after. It was awesome to be reminded of a time where the king was in theatres and not just a past glory.

Alpha

I enjoyed it Didn't realize the whole movie was subtitled, though. Definitely enjoyable and well acted but not something I would watch repeated viewings of.

Demolition Man
The Wraith

Sci-Fi-September has begun!

Searching

It's another laptop movie and I feel like they're finally getting to a point where the gimmick can expand past the conventional horror flicks. I thought it was a pretty decent mystery that uses a laptop screen to its advantage. It's John Cho's movie and he's carrying it the entire time. I thought he was great in it and some of the supporting cast did a fine job. What I find interesting is they use the gimmick, but use Hollywood style directing of a laptop screen... Which is something different from the Unfriended movies and The Den. It makes it easier to follow for those who don't want to be staring at a screen the entire time. Another thing different is this has a bigger budget than those horror flicks. Only drawbacks that I could think of is the 3rd act may or may not make you roll your eyes. I thought it worked for the most part, but I can see people complaining about how "cheesy" it is. With this gimmick, I was actually more emotionally invested in Unfriended Dark Web. I thought worked way more than Searching, but overall, this is a movie meant for a wide audience and it's definitely a good popcorn movie.

The Happytime Murders

It was eh. This is far from "The Worst Movie Ever" talks that this is getting. It's a movie that really should have been released years ago... on Comedy Central. While the puppeteering work is exceptional and it's probably my favorite part, the script could have used a punch up or used a better script all together. There are a lot of moments that felt genuine but immediately gets undercut with cliche jokes. I was expecting Melissa McCarthy to do her old shtick but she was pretty reserved. Bill Barretta as Phil Philips is probably the best actor in this movie and it's a puppet... Overall though, it's not bad but it's not great.
6.5/10

HARRY POTTER
  • Sorcerer/Philosopher Stone
  • Chamber of Secrets
  • Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Goblet of Fire
I added the last movie to the list instead of placing it on its lonesome, and I think I enjoyed this more than Prisoner of Azkaban on this run.

Demolition Man
:awesome:

Ghost Stories - British made horror anthology. Really, really enjoyed it. Harks back to the 70's in how it's format is presented and would have loved to have seen the stage show from which it derived. Quality performances from everyone and Freeman especially only goes to show how far he's come from The Office. Loved it, 10/10.

  • Order of the Phoenix
Between Michael Gambon and Richard Harris, I prefer the former in the role of Albus Dumbledore, he has a more authoritative presence.
The ministry of magic highest positions is kind of like a gathering for buffoons.
Arthur Weasley should be very used to train stations after years of walking his children through muggle train stations, he should be even less surprised since he does his research on muggles.

I prefer this one to the first two, like it less than Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire.
Next are the movies I have not seen yet, starting with the Half Blooded Lizard Prince.
