I think the vulture attacked mary jane, or the were wolf appeared.

For months he worried about going through something like that again. Like when the werewolf attacks, he attacks some lady and she reminds him of gwen. And when the vulture attacks mj, he was thinking the same thing. It just tormented him

I see. Thanks again. :yay:

Really? I thought you guys were plotting to assasinate me! I'm so relieved!:yay:
So what did Peter do in the comics after Gwen died? I mean after he went the Green Goblin.

There was also the Clone Saga, but that would take ages to tell you.

In the raimi trilogies, mary jane never expressed how she was affected from being almost killed by the goblin. The only thing she said was "when i was up there, and i thought i was going to die..." Thats it.

I lik how it was portrayed in ultimate spidey where mj just finally explodes from bottling up all these emotions and how she has night terrors and stuff like that. It felt more real to me and didnt come off and a whiny female dog

Agreed.

Mj in the movies was only horribly portrayed im sm3. The other ones were ok. But i want them to show how she is very modest and doesnt act all "omg my life sucks cause my parents fight and they hate me" because shes the cool girl and she is very grown up, she doesnt expect people to cry for her. In sm1 i think it was represented pretty good. Except that she ignored pete lol.
In ssm she is exactly how i described except we wernt shown her home life

MJ did seem like a whiny ***** in SM3.

I think she was okay in 1 and 2, but I hated her in 3.

I want it to happen in the third film, with the effects of her death being explored in the fourth. I don't care who kills her.

There isn't a need for it. Peter's life with MJ was already covered.

Besides, killing her in the third film would be groundbreaking. About as groundbreaking as the moment was in the comic book. No one in the GA would see it coming. Killing the main love interest that we've known for 3 films (6 or so years) in the final scenes of the final movie? It would shake things up, and set this franchise apart from all others.

Man up and do it, Webb and co.
I'm with you here. MJ could be introduced perhaps, but have the beautiful Emma Stone as this series' main female lead. As you say his life with MJ was covered with Raimi. Get a connection with Gwen over the course of three films, where her eventual death is that much more painful of an event.

All valid points.

The thing is, even though all the previous films did revolve around MJ and her relationship with Peter, I really, really hope that they'll re-introduce MJ and do her right this time. She's such a wonderful and charismatic character in the comics and the previous film version we got was for the most part, a completely different person.

They did the right thing starting with Gwen and they lucked out by landing Emma Stone, one of the most talented and sought after young talents currently in Hollywood.

If Gwen were to remain the female lead throughout a potential trilogy, I would be fine with it, as long as MJ is brought in as a prominent supporting character for the 2nd/3rd films and we get a proper portrayal.

Kirsten Dunst's character only resembled MJ in the comics in name and hair color. So no, we haven't gotten Peter's life with MJ covered with Raimi at all.

You can call her 'in name only' if you want, but for all intents and purposes MJ was the main female lead in the Raimi trilogy. I think the reboot should shift the focus.

Oscorp, the fact of the matter is, as badly as MJ was represented, we got a character that was a love interest that was named Mary Jane. We don't need to see her again as a love interest in this franchise. Here is what should go down.

TASM

Peter and Gwen establish their relationship and fall in love. Gwen finds out Peter is Spider-Man and does all she can to help but her world is shattered when she finds out her father has died. Peter doesn't show up to the funeral because he feels guilty, but watches from a distance as Spider-Man (scene from the trailer where Gwen is looking up into the rainy sky). The day after, and one of the last scenes of the film is when Gwen goes to Peter's house and slaps him. She says that the one person she needed the most wasn't there. Peter tries to explain but she doesn't want to hear it. She leaves him on his steps as we fade into the final monologue with Peter swinging.

TASM 2

Peter tries desperately to win Gwen back but struggles. Gwen will obviously be distraught, but she shouldn't be how MJ was in SM3. Not whiney or mean, just extremely sad and disappointed. Mary Jane will be introduced as a friend to Peter and maybe Harry Osborn's love interest. Those 3 will hang out together while Peter works on his relationship with Gwen. Eventually she accepts Peter back and the film ends in a happily ever after type mood.

TASM 3

Peter and Gwen are perfect together in every sense of the word. They're happy and in love and beginning to talk about marriage. The Green Goblin comes into play and Norman through his son Harry finds out about Peter Parker. He finds out that Peter was bit in his lab (or has known all along, which I'd prefer) and is working desperately to try and replicate the results without the spider powers side effect. He succeeds but with psychological side effects. He knows Gwen and Peter are romantically involved and he kidnaps her and she dies in the same way that she does in the comics about 3/4 of the way through the film. The last 1/4 of the film is dedicated to Peter exacting revenge on the Goblin/Norman.

There's no other way this trilogy should go down.

I agree that Gwen should be the main focus. But saying that Raimi has already covered Peter's relationship with MJ is just wrong imo. We have yet to see the kind of relationship Peter and MJ had in the comics.
