An answer + a soapbox moment or two:
I was 25, and now I think I should have waited longer. Complex story.
When I see people talk about losing their virginity in high school, I'm shocked. I never even contemplated it, even with my closest girlfriends.
When I see people losing it in college, it's a little less shocking. Still, ask yourself if you know what you want to do with your life and if you want a bond with the person you are sleeping with forever? Condoms break and pills don't always work.
Lastly, your perspective on sex may change in 15-20 years. I have a wonderful wife and I still enjoy sex very much but I wonder why I spent so much time from around age 16 to about age 28, thinking about it. Yes, it's wonderful but it's NOT worth risking an unwanted pregnancy, the emotional pain of an abortion, or a disease. Just wait, kids. Your time will come.
