So if TDK takes place in 2008 then BB must take place in the same year
Yeah thats what I was sayin, BB must take place in 2008shouldnt two years be enough time for wayne manor to be rebuilt? no need for a penthouse then.
If it did then wouldnt the wayne manor be built alreadyBatman Begins did not take place in the year of 2008....it was 2005 at least.

Since it's taking place in 2008, and 3 years is a hell of a lot of time for the Joker to be comitting crimes, I guess we'll have to assume that Begins has been updated to 2008.
It's not really that big of deal.
I would suspect not any more then three yearsHow long does it usually take to rebuild an entire mansion from stratch?
Well it would make more sensePeople, at no point in Batman Begins was it established that the movie took place in 2005. I thought it was a given that it was supposed to take place a few years into the future.
I thought Nolan said it was a present day take on Batman...in the present (hence 2005 for Batman Begins).
There may be a reason within TDK while the mansion rebuilding is taking so long.
Werent all the newspapers and license plates for BB dated 2005 also? I'm almost certain I saw 2005 dates on them.

I dont have any evidence but somebody else mightthere were no evidence of 2005 in BB unless you can prove otherwise then show me.
TDK will take place in 2008 as evidence showed through those pics.
That's about the only plausible explanation I could see. It would also account for the Joker's scar's healing. Still doesn't explain the manor though.Again, is it not possible that Nolan will use a flashback to show Batman and Joker's first encounter which ends in his capture and being placed in Arkham? He then escapes 3 years later out for revenge. This is ONE possible way of dealing with the time difference.
