Whether or not Thor is just a regular guy with a hammer is a debate for another day (he is), the real question none of you have answered is:
How does TIH -- aside from the tacked on Tony Stark afterward -- do any better a job correlating to the Avengers movie than the 2003 HULK film? If they wanted to keep Eric Bana on board and released a special edition dvd of HULK with a similar Tony Stark scene at the end, the characters position going into Avengers would be no different.
I'm not saying there aren't dramatic story elements in the 2008 TIH film, but that film's story is still the one least necessary to be told leading up to the Avengers -- especially considering it's a fighting story.
Actually, I did forget about that and you are totally correct. My question has been (finally) answered and so I will again return to the lonely shadows.Ok...To answer your question. Ignoring the ending there were references to Shield and Stark industries within the film, but these I would grant were only subtle.
What was not subtle however was Blonsky being treated with an unstable version of Captain America's super soldier serum, and in that discussion Blonsky had with Ross it was revealed Banner's work was in part an attempt to recreate a working formula (Banner was not aware of Ross' hidden agenda). This was a rather major plot point of the film that will tie TIH and Banner to Avengers directly: Banner's becoming the Hulk was an accidental result of a program that was basically trying to recreate Captain America.
The 03 Hulk has no connection at all.
As for your Thor comment....A regular guy? Only when he assumes the 'Don Blake' form. As Thor, he is an immortal god with Hulk level strength and invulnerability without the hammer, which is vastly powerful on its own as well.
yes indeed and people seems to forget that because of all the alter ego version who did'nt need a walking stick^^ Don't forget ... The hammer can turn into a walking stick![]()

that's why i'd like to see a few adjustment when thor is using his hammer in "combat mode"
the hammer could shapeshift a bit to the will of thor depending on how he needs to use it specially in the handle which could get a little longer
why not !
i've seen different version of thor with a different hammer
after all he his a god and imposing his will to mjolnir is not a far strech.
I also like Kid Rock. He bends the rules. This thread is becoming a scary place to wander into (kind of amusing, though)t:
Why not !What about singing? It's not such a stretch to say that a god may have a nice voice.
Thor could sing ole Asgardian folk songs during a banquet. Maybe Sif could do the backing vocals.
Back on topic, I read a Thor comic today. Turns out his hammer has many unique properties and capabilities similar to the weapon Tommy used as the White Ranger.
Lol! No wonder he's pissed..t:
Accurate. If I remember my Power Rangers the red one was the leader and the blue one was the techie
LMAO! That's friggen awesome.
But shouldn't the Hulk be the Green Ranger, Cap/Blue, Iron Man/Red?
