Where was this scene?

Well we did see them out by the beach.

I imagine this was a trim of that scene.

The movie was pretty long. Although it didn't bother me but I guess they were worried it would bother others and cut some things out.

The scene was cut. It was in the script. There was actually a ton of stuff that was shot for this film that was cut out (in chronological order):

-The pre-title sequence had a lot more footage that was shot, showing Bond tracking down the thug he killed in the bathroom during a Pakistani cricket match.

-Valenka (Le Chiffre's female lackey) swimming through the water. This footage can be seen in the theatrical trailer.

-There was a big thing about torn playing-cards that tied into the whole "Ellipsis" deal. Part of the footage can be glimpsed in the teaser trailer.

-Bond and Vesper driving through the countryside with some dialogue.

-Bond arriving on a stretcher at the hospital.

-Bond and Vesper's skinny-dipping scene.

-This was an interesting scene left on the cutting-room floor: Vesper, before leaving in Venice, took photos of Bond while they were in bed together (it makes sense in the context). Later, during the "***** is dead" scene, Bond looks at the photos on the laptop. In anger, he flings the laptop into the water, where it shorts out. This footage can be glimpsed in the Sony products video.

They should've worked in the nature of evil scene.

I was hoping it would be kept in because Craig basically talked about it in his Parade piece, I think it would've made the movie a lot more relevant.

Part of me says yes, part of me says no. Part of me says that it would have driven the film to a complete halt and that Bond would seem laughable philosophizing all of a sudden (when he starts spouting off philosophy in the novel, I think it's kind of ridiculous).

After what he went through, it's not ridiculous at all. He had to re-evaluate himself.

I think having some form of the scene in the movie maybe with M it would've worked.

It doesn't have to be word for word, a streamlined version would've been nice.

I think what it is really is that Sony didn't want to put in the implication of ambiguity and perhaps upset the more . . . CONSERVATIVE viewers.

I hope we will see the deleted scenes in CR SE DVD.

Quite. I just wondered 'cauase I watched the trailer again and noticed that wasn't there. Oh well. If there is more philosophy speaking or subtle moments (just not more sex or women swimming) I hope they end up on the DVD then.
