Which actors should WB/DC recruit?

Made this as a response to Tg11's Marvel version of this thread.

I dropped the part about "who DC should have recruited" part as I wouldn't want to create another thread about people who hate the current slate of DCCU actors or another "Grant Gustin should have been the movie Flash!" thread.

I'll start:

Nathan Fillion for an older Hal Jordan.

Steal Natalie Portman from Marvel! She's being underutilized over there!

Getting Will Smith was huge. I know that's not really the point of the thread, but Will Smith is probably their best "get" in recent years.
They've got pretty solid casting from top to bottom.

Yeah I agree with that Flint, even though his last couple of movies haven't done well I do think that's more to do with the material than a drop in interest for Smith. Think he's a hell of a good get for WB/DC.

I know he's getting on in years but I would love for them to find a role for Denzel Washington.

His last few movies have been largely disappointing but as you said that has nothing to do with him. Will Smith is a bonafide, old-fashioned movie star and in the right vehicle he brings a lot to the role.
Denzel would also be a good choice for a role, but I don't see him wearing spandex or leaping over buildings. I could see as a cop or something like that; maybe he's Gothams DA or a commissioner? Id love to see something like that.

Yep, agreed again.

Remember when there was rumours for Dark Knight Rises that there would be a task force to take down the Batman (well it did kind of turn out to be true with Matthew Modine's character going after Batman for a scene). I was hoping Denzel would get cast as the lead Cop in charge of that task force. I think that kind of role would be great for him.

Also, another actress to add, Jennifer Aniston, preferably as a supporting role. Cat Grant would be great or Vicki Vale.

Nothing against Aniston but I'll pass on her being in either a DC or Marvel film.

And Ackles starred in My Bloody Valentine (highly successful) as well as voicing Red Hood in the animated movie he had a few years back. Padalecki has been in the Friday the 13th reboot & I've seen him in other horror movies as well.

But yeah, it'd be nice to see them be apart of something bigger. They're both very talented dudes.

And I love Aniston but again, I'm not clamoring to have her in a comic book movie. If she gets cast, I wouldn't complain though, I could live with it.

I'd like to see Charlize Theron in (another) comic book movie, maybe as Queen Hippolyta or someone along those lines.
