I don't post here very often (mostly because I have so many accounts with so many different websites that I can't keep up with all the usernames and passwords ughh) Anyway I just got back on here and this conversation intrigued me. I did watch the 2003 HULK movie more than 4 times and I will say that the tank throwing feat was VERY strong....BUT I must also add that no one on here seems to be mentioning the 08 INCREDIBLE HULK throwing a boulder the size of himself at more than a 45 degree angle up into the sky...
Here are my comparisons for these two feats:
03 HULK
Army tanks weigh about 60 tons or 120,000lbs (if it's an abrams main battle tank) which is on the larger side of us army tanks. size is 30' x 12' x 7.5' (though this is hollow for the most part inside)
He didn't actually pick up the tank, like reaching down and picking up a barbell by grabbing the sides or bottom. Instead he grabbed the turret (barrel) and leaned and used momentum and inertia to spin the tank around himself (like a hammer throw).
After about 3-4 spins he let loose and the tank looked like it travelled(realistically here) about .5 to .75 mi away...just over the ridge behind him. If you think it was farther than that, seriously go out on a highway stand at a mile marker and look how far the next one is down the road(if you can even see it).
08 INCREDIBLE HULK
The SOLID ROCK/BOULDER that he basically grabbed off the face of the mountain in 08 TIH was about the size of himself, so I'll say the diameter of the boulder was about 8.5ft. That's 321.5 cu.ft of solid mass(volume of sphere is 3/4 x pi(3.14) x 76.77(which is the radius (4.25ft) to the third power) .
Steel is generally regarded at a weight of 500lbs per cubic foot. With a volume of 321.5 cu.ft., if this rock were solid steel it would weigh 160,500lbs. Given that this rock, depending on the elements involved ie granite, micah etc...might not be completely solid I will deduct my calculation by 20%(32,100lbs) so now the rock weighs approx 128,400lbs.
If you watch the scene in TIH he is uber pissed at the storm, grabs this huge boulder, lifts it like it weighs 20lbs to the normal man and throws it into the sky, I would say at least 50+ mph against gravity.
I am not saying that either Hulk or The Incredible Hulk is stronger than the other, but look at some hard evidence and facts of mass, and volume of different objects and how he lifts and throws or slams or tears apart those objects and you get an idea of which one has the higher strength(and higher rage). IMHO, they should both be the same strength because they are both HULK.
