He had the intelligence to know putting the bit chunk of metal infront of him would soften the blast, like '08 knew using the debris to deflect the bullets. No matter how you spin it, the hulk in '03 used the top of the tank as a shield. A reaction would've been ducking or jumping out of the way.

The SOLID ROCK/BOULDER that he basically grabbed off the face of the mountain in 08 TIH was about the size of himself, so I'll say the diameter of the boulder was about 8.5ft. That's 321.5 cu.ft of solid mass(volume of sphere is 3/4 x pi(3.14) x 76.77(which is the radius (4.25ft) to the third power) .

So what about the rock 03 picked up at the end that was maybe 10 times bigger than himself?

Yeah I agree.....twas a shield.

Its just that 08 Hulk used shields more effectively.

I wonder if the new Hulk's ground pound will be as good as the old one. That one went on for blocks. Cars flipping all over each other.

i know this post is old, but when he did the ground pound it when on for like 4 yards, because when u see the cars flipping, the Hulk is standing right beside them

they both have potential to be the same strength, its hulk so it depends on the anger, base strength for 03 seems higher but 08 seems to get madder quicker. So 08 can be stronger than 03 if he is pissed enough, hell abomination was probably around 03 strength when he was fighting the army, they never were presented with challenges like tanks. I'd take 08 hulk in a fight tho, he was just the embodiment of kick assery.

bulk muscle vs. lean muscle (lots of lean muscle) which explains why you can see the muscle fibers.

body builder vs. strong man

However, anybody who is familiar with lifting weights and working out knows. that Power lifters (Guys in the strong men competitions are stronger and more powerful than body builders) They have more endurance in their muscles.

I'm honestly surprised that this thread and discussion has continued for so long. We don't know what the 08 Hulk can do, but we will really get a sense of it in the sequel. I don't think we will ever see him jump as far or run as fast.

03 was kick a$$ when he was running, I always wondered how fast the hulk could run and what it would look like. With all that leg muscle it was cool.

However, it would make more sense if the 08 Hulk could run that fast because he looks like he has quicker muscle reflex because of the way his muscle fibers look.

But he is no way as close to running as fast as the flash as someone posted earlier.

03 hulk was 12 feet tall, that rock was no more than 18 feet tall and 6 ft wide. you are seriously over exaggerating. 03 hulk threw a tank at a pile of sand, 08 threw gigantic rock at god. 03 hulk broke out of some containment foam, 08 pushed through a sonic emitting gun. 03 hulk sounded like some guy tubbing his toe when he screamed 08 actually sounded mad. 03 looks like a baby on roids, 08 looks like the hulk. 08 overall was a good movie compared to 03. that in itself is th greatest strength of all. therefor 08 is stonger

First off, I am not trying to argue with anyone as evident from all of my previous posts. Second, I am not trying to denounce this thread. I just am surprised that this a continued discussion with many of the same people from the beginning. Although we keep going around in circles and proving valid points with facts and substantial opinions.

I think it is very impressive, not a bother. So my bad if it came out wrong. This is one of the better threads IMO. So I am glad that you started.....
