Which "Public" Place This Time?

yeah, that's probably one of the main mysteries of the trailer.

And the subway fight... Is that against GG2 or Sandman? I loved the shot of THC right before Spidey swings alongside the subway train. He had the same expression as Ock when Spidey swings back into the warehouse and kicks him through the floor in their final fight :D

Yeah, there were set reports of sand coming out of a subway entrance, right?

So we have the first fight in the city streets with Sandman (and Gwen's rescue), the subway fight (probably a part of the first one, probably not), the night time battle with GG2, and the rumored final three(four?)-way battle in the construction site. I trust Raimi to deliver all this and his usual great storytelling, so be prepared for a kickass Spidey movie come May 2007.

As long as there is a balance between storytelling and action like the original Spider-man comics. Then I have no problem. :)

I forgot, there's supposed to be a fight scene taking place in the air and the villain maybe unmasks Spidey, while J.J. is running around screaming for someone to bring him a camera so he can tape the man behind the mask a la the 90's cartoon. It'd be cool if this were while Spidey fights Venom.

Okay. GG and Sandman, they WANT to kill people.

Ummm how do you know Sandman does?? Seen the movie have you?? And if you read the comics, you'd know Sandman is not a killer.

You claim, or think that Doc Ock is the "Master Planner." Maybe he knew or planned that Spidey would stop that train and save those people.

I know that's why he did it. What other purpose would it serve?? He wasn't positive Spider-Man would be able to stop the train, but he knew he'd wear himself out trying. And that's what Ock wanted.

His real mission is or was to build his machine and make his experiment work.

That's right. And in order to do that he had to hurt and kill people.

GG and Sandman may just want to kill people for the fun of it.

GG killed people to save his company. He took out the competitive company to Oscorp, then he took out the board members that were trying to sell him out. He wasn't doing it for fun. It served a purpose for him.

And I already said we don't know anything about Sandman's methods in SM-3 yet. Carnage is the only villain that does meaningless killing for fun.

Doc Ock was a different villain from GG or maybe Sandman.

Obviously. But GG and Ock hurt and kill people to get what they want. Sandman, in the comics anyway, never killed. Least of all for fun.

Think about it.

You're the one that needs to think about it buddy. You don't seem to know your villains very well ;)

Sandman is a criminal, need I say more? Okay, GG, yeah he was killing people to save his company, the only way to save Oscorp was to kill the poeple that were trying to kill his company. Doc Ock was not trying to kill anybody, just trying to see his experiment work, if you really think about it, Doc Ock could've finished his experiment without hurting anyone. He didn't want any trouble. If you read the comics or watched the cartoon, Sandman killed people. He and GG are just killers, Doc Ock is a entirely different bad guy.

Yeah you do need to say more. Not every criminal kills. Sandman is a petty thug who's just out for cash.

How?? You think the bank was just going to hand him the thousands he stole??? You think Spidey was just going to meekly surrender to Ock??

He didn't want any trouble.

LOL! Yeah, that's why he tossed a safe door at a crowd of people, hurled a car thru a cafe window, and sped up a train and ripped the brakes out :D

If you read the comics or watched the cartoon, Sandman killed people.

Two things:

1. Sandman was never in the cartoon. So what are you talking about??
2. Give me an issue number, or even a story where he killed someone.

He and GG are just killers

GG is. Sandman isn't.

Doc Ock is a entirely different bad guy.

Ock is a killer. And I can post LOTS of comic scans of him killing people if you like. Can you post one for Sandman??

Hey, man. I don't mean to argue with you. I'll find some comics where Sandman kills people. And, yeah, your probably right. Post some pic of Ock killin' some people, I wanna see this. :spidey:

We're not arguing, we're debating. Why is it that a difference of opinion is always labelled an arguement around here??

Cool.

^ I have all of these comics, and they're amazing! Look, GG and Ock are killers, Sandman isn't. Simple as that. The guy does what he does out of necessity, or for the age-old reason that he knows no other way to triumph in life other than crime. Pick up the issues with him after the reboot, the ones where Venom bites him and he starts disintegrating. Gives you a nice insight into the character.

Thanks, I'll look into this.
