I do agree that there has been some overlap with rogues lately, or heck, even since ACTS OF VENGEANCE in the 90's. But there's no excuse not to try, especially with some of those obscure ones.
I would agree with Daredevil and I think Mark Waid has commented on how he would not use Kingpin or ninjas any time soon. I think there are DD villains from the Silver Age and the 80s could be easily revamped to fit the modern Daredevil. Purple Man was already revamped, Typhoid Mary is an interesting villain and Mr. Hyde, Bushwacker and Bullet, etc. all have potential.
It is funny how Mr. Hyde has evolved into a general Avengers villain now. Bullet has potential. Bushwacker has fought everyone from Wolverine to Punisher. I forgot about Typhoid Mary, and she's fresh off a stint with the Initiative before working for Kingpin again. There's also Death-Stalker, Gladiator, and Mr. Fear, at least if we are thinking biggies. Technically, the Ani-Men started out fighting Daredevil too. To a lessor extent there is also the Man-Bull, but he's seen some overlap as well, fighting Wolverine, Hulk, and Spider-Man since. Masked Marauder, a costumed mobster, shifted from DD to Spider-Man, too. The two of them swap villains like trading cards. Even Nuke has become a Wolverine add on.
The newer incarnation of the Matador isn't too bad.
The odd thing with DD is that quite a few of his enemies in the 70's who weren't his usual rogues mentioned above were weird sci-fi threats, many of whom died or haven't been much seen since. The time-flung robot schemer Mr. Kline comes to mind as an example.
DD could use a boost, but I honestly think Moon Knight needs it more. We can at least name a half dozen DD villains if not more. But Moon Knight? After Bushmaster and Midnight, it gets difficult. Like with DD to an extent, many of Moon Knight's rogues have either died or are bizarre one off creations. Behold, Xenos, a xenophobe who dresses like a rat! Or Dr. Friday, who uses some semi-magical potion to make people into pseudo zombies! Raptor, yet another armored guy with razor wings! Cajun Creed (no relation to Sabretooth or Gambit), a guy with Class 1 strength and an icepick! Bluebeard, a hyponotist who dresses like a 15th century pirate! Hey, Moon Knight DID take down Capt. Barracuda alongside the Secret Avengers in the recent past. Commodore Planet (not to be confused with Captain Planet), a guy with mystical/chemical strength boosting abilities who dresses like a wrestler cast on "LOVE BOAT". Or perhaps my favorite "one and done" Moon Knight villain - Conquer-Lord, a mobster who uses death traps like a Bond villain and dresses like some sort of alien Luchadore wrestler (
http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/conquerlordmk.htm). He also has a rat fetish - same as Indy Jones hates snakes, Moon Knight could hate rats. Maybe Xenos could team up with Conquer-Lord.
I'm just goofing around, and I haven't even mentioned the Hellbent, who were all over MK books in the 90's.
