Which Superman villains would like to see in the first installment of Superman 3.0?

I was gonna say Mongul, but it seems like he's just Darkseid Jr. I say have Lex create Metallo.

That's how they would portray him, I think. I know the War World thing would be a good plotline, but it depends on if they use him or not.

They look alike, but their similarities end there. Now, if they ignore the comics and do whatever they want with the character, they can make him Darkseid Jr, Lex Jr, Batman Jr, or whatever. But Mongul is Mongul.

If they ever choose to bring him to the screen.

Brainiac would be good. In any case I'd like a villain who can match Superman physically, unlike Lex who's been done so many times before.

I'd like to see a cameo by Leslie Willis / Livewire.

Yeah, no Zod.

Yes to Brainiac. I think he's the perfect villain especially he's been 'waiting for the silver screen' since Superman 3 and Burton's Superman.
Also, he ties into Superman's Kryptonian background (no matter what version you use) and he's a great lead in to Darkseid without feeling like a 'lead in'.

I've said it multiple times but my problem with Darkseid in a superman movie is that I don't feel it really adds anything to superman's character and world. Using darkseid would just seem like a lose lose situation because they would have to cut out a lot of stuff which fans would complain about, and his motivation probably will be the same as brainiacs if he appears which is destroy earth. Plus with darkseid, you eliminate the use of the cast of daily planet characters, which if done properly, could be a great supporting cast.

I'm sure that they'll figure out something. The whole 4th world has infinite possibilities and there have been countless stories to draw ideas from. Besides, if the action takes place on Earth (which it will), Clark's supporting cast wont be cut out like you say.

In any case, the New Gods are in the top 5 of earth's most powerful threats, so if they really want to do them justice, they deserve to be in a JL film, not a Superman film. I mean, at some point the whole GL corps invaded Apocolips and they lost terribly and yet you still have stories where Superman and Batman just go there and save Supergirl or whatever. You dont **** with Darkseid.

Without a doubt, Lex Luthor and Brainiac. I'd say the first film should take some of the plot from Geoff Johns' recent Brainiac arc, some of the sentiment from All Star Superman, and top it off with a few ideas from Lex Luthor: Man of Steel.

Have Brainiac be the Big Bad. Perhaps do what Johns did, and tie Brainiac into the destruction of Krypton: that'd make for a great opening sequence. Then skip through all the origin stuff in montage - perhaps over the opening credits - and have the main story set in a world where Superman is well established, Clark Kent works at the Daily Planet with Lois Lane and the rest of the ensemble, and Lex Luthor as the mad scientist villain he was in the Silver Age/has somewhat reverted to in the current comics. No Donner Luthor, please.

Have the main thrust of the plot be that Brainiac has targeted Earth as his next target for destruction, in the vein of what he did to Krypton. But first, his drones attack Earth, go for a full-on alien invasion idea. This allows Lex Luthor to paint himself as a "hero of the people" of sorts, saying that humanity needs to unite against the alien outsiders, and trying to turn people against Superman. Perhaps have Luthor start working with the military in some campaign against Brainiac's forces, which goes disastrously wrong.

I actually imagine a scenario for the film's conclusion where we have Superman and Lex Luthor in his powersuit reluctantly joining forces as the two of them infiltrate Brainiac's mothership in an attempt to stop his conquest of Earth. But after the day is saved, Luthor manages to claim most of the credit for himself, and becomes beloved by Metropolis, setting the groundwork for Lexcorp to be formed in the sequel. Though I'd also be okay with Lexcorp Lex being established in the first film rather than him starting as a mad scientist and transitioning into running Lexcorp.

As for the sequel, if they get that far, I'd love to see some variation on The Everyman Project from 52. It's hard to think of a masterplan by Lex Luthor that's been more callous. Also through another villain like Parasite or Metallo into the mix.

I'd love Brainiac, if the first film largely deals with Kryptonian backstory.

I love Darkseid. I'd go see a Superman movie with him in a heartbeat, even if it was directed by Joel Schumacher, but to me, he's a JLA villain. I don't want to see him "wasted" on Superman's movie, if that makes sense. If that's the only way to see him, though, sure.

Honor the classic characters, especially those we haven't seen on film.

1st film: Luthor and Intergang, Morgan Edge, Mannheim

2nd film: Metallo, Braniac, The Parasite and Bizzaro.

3rd film: Zod, with Braniac returning.

Sprinkle the legend of Jax-Ur in, add Silver Banshee, Prankster, Toyman and Mxyptlk in there somewhere as cameos.

Would they be packed films? Yup. Superman's world is packed full of characters.

I'd say have Lex as a powerful businessman - super scientist from the get go, who feels envious of Superman stealing his thunder and from a philanthropist that everyone loves he descends into villainy.

Add all that working with the goverment (Amanda Waller and Cadmus will be in GL after all) thing you just mentioned, and have him try to paint Superman as another evil alien. Superman wins the day but Lex claims Brainiac's defeat for himself and in the sequel he and Cadmus work against Superman in case he goes rogue. Que in whatever villains and projects you want. Suicide squad, Metallo, Parasite, etc.

Somewhere in this movie we get the classic SM - Lex discussion about SM not allowing humanity to reach its potential and all that. Because all those human villains wont match Brainiac's power and the film might feel luckluster in action, maybe in the end Lex gets temporary Superpowers like in All-Star?

I'd prefer Brainiac too, but if it's a stand-alone movie I think it would be too rushed if they link him to the kryptonian mythology with the destruction of Krypton. That would take a 3-hour movie.

Brainiac, Lex Luther, Metallo, and Parasite IMO are a must. Luthor is classic and I think he is necessary to portraying Metropolis. Brainiac is one of the ultimate foes who can serve a good story and a nasty challenge. MEtallo and Parasite are probably the most well known (maybe?) of the type of character fans seems to be clamoring for (the ones that will get in a fist fight with Superman as opposed to what has been put on screen so far). I think Intergang is a must too. Gotham has old-school criminals, Metropolis should have new school criminals.

Mannheim and Edge could be good backups for Lex. Grundy could be a good backup for Metallo and Parasite. I fear Bizarro or Ultra-Humanite coming off too comical.

I'dlike to see Lobo show up just cause I like him and his face off with Supes in Timms cartoon was rather entertaining. COnsidering there is a LObo script with some good buzz (despite fan groans), it could be a good jumping off point.

Zod is just a rumor.

Movie 1 - Lex Luthor

Movie 2 - Brainiac

Movie 3 - Either Bizarro, Metallo or Zod

1 - Lex and Brainiac
2 - Bizarro, Lex (maybe just as a background man) and Doomsday
3 - Darkseid

1 - Lex and Brainiac
2 - Bizarro, Lex (maybe just as a background man) and Doomsday
3 - Darkseid

Brainiac should be from Krypton just like he is from STAS and "Smallville".

Darkseid should only appear if this will lead up to a Justice League film .

As for Doomsday unless their doing a death and return of Superman film he should appear at all .
