who dead in movie? (warning SPOILER)

Oh that's NOT cool, Human kill more Decepticons than Autobots?

It's not but we new it would happen. Us humans can't be overshadowed by huge cool a$$ robots now can we? WE rule the galaxy :whatever:

Anyway, I am upset Jazz had to go, would have preferred Ratchet to go to the big Junkion in the sky and then in 2 they could have brought Wheeljack in for repairs, although he is more the inventor...so yeah that could work.

I was about to say that too when first see this. So what the hell our Autobots doing the whole movie. Crying out for human's help all the time?:cmad:

I think Maggie comes from the name Megan Fox, the name of the actress that plays Mikaela. Unless he meant the other girl that's named Maggie, but I doubt she (Rachael Taylor) plays a really major role in the movie, we haven't even seen her in any trailer yet.
And in the end, it seems everybody dies except Ratchet, Starscream, Ironhide and Optimus. That sucks...

no, it's the Rachael Taylor "Maggie", the one related to Anthony "Funny As Hell" Anderson (in the film, not real life), BOTH OF WHOM WE HAVE NOT SEEN YET!!!! I'm gonna set up a tread addressing this issue ASAP. Sounds good?

And yes, MF's character is Mikela Banes, not Maggie.

So, no suprise ending then. I was hoping to see Megs in his earth mode at the end of the movie. I guess not.

Alas no, but it does make sense for him not to have one yet. I mean, he breaks out of his icy imprisonment and the first thing he wants to do is get the AllSpark...so he goes on a destruction rampage with his fellow Decepticons, gets 'killed' and then dumped. There wasn't anytime nor need for an earth mode.

Now when he returns in the sequel I can imagine he is going to want to lay low from humans and Autobots alike (until he gets some new recruits anyway), so there is a need for an Earth mode disguise.

If Jazz really dies, I will never watch this movie again. The first and only "black" transformer at this point, and they make him a midget and kill him off despite his being one of the few survivors of the original animated movie.

Like I've said. So much of this movie is a parody.

Wow, I didn't even know that Transformers were black, white, brown, or yellow. If that isn't a trolling post I don't know what is.

Just because a character was voiced by a black actor dosn't make him black. HES A DAMN ROBOT!

WOW...JUST WOW!

Uh, calm down. Did I insult you? Did I insult *anyone?* No.

I realize that Jazz himself was not an African American. That's why black was in quotes. See them? Them little things stickin' outta either side of the word black?
I view Jazz as "black," however, because to me he has an african american flavor to him, thanks to his being voiced by Scatman Crothers.

Those are simply my personal feelings and I have every right to have and share them. Deal with it.

I'm a shaved head, goattee'd, 260 lb., biker-lookin' white guy born and raised in farm country. Of course Jazz was the "black" transformer. His voice, name, and characterization were/are pretty obvious stereotypes. Why is everyone in the voice casting thread always suggesting a black guy to play Jazz? Because the character sounds like a black guy. Can you always hear a difference between a black guy's voice and a white guy's voice on the street? No. But Jazz was definitely meant to be related to as a black guy. Understood by the fact that they used a voice actor with the most stereotypically black sounding voice in the world and then called him Jazz, an art form that finds its roots in black history.

And yes it does kind of blow that he bites it. If for no other reason than it falls into the running joke of black characters being disposable, spoofed repeatedly over the years on Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, In Living Color as well, and a number of modern movies.

It was always obvious to me.

In my opinion, someone was going to have to die. And, with the exception of Bumblebee, all of the other Autobots were way more powerful, therefore, it seems logical either him of Bumblebee would die, and I think that more people are attached to Bumblebee.

This movie, although based on the cartoon and all, cannot follow the cartoon. These people have to fit a story of war between huge robots in a 2 hour window, and as much as we all want it, they have to plan as though there will be no sequel. With this being said, someome always dies in war movies.:trans:

I wonder is Arcee was going to die in the first script considering Jazz replaced her.

Don't worry DaneShobe. You didn't insult anyone. Everyone knows Jazz was black. Yes, he had a somewhat "stereotypical" old-old-school jazz-lounge black way of speaking- thanks to Scatman Crothers but so what? He was a ranking officer, head of many missions, and looked up to by kids everywhere.... he was far from a stereotype.

If you ask me, the movie marks the death of Transformers in general.

I completely if agree...in a 'this could possibly relaunch the Transformers franchise and make bigger than ever' kind of way :D

If that is the case, I claim Bumblebee as the Asian transformer by the fact that he is umm yellow. Now if only they could make him into a cool asian car like a Supra or NSX...:whatever:
