Liam Neeson because it was a challenge to play a betrayal (Ra's) after taking back his label of mentor (Ducard and many other roles)
But he is always good even if he has many mentor roles

And Morgan Freeman, a mark of greatness.

Wasn't impressed with anyone in this movie. They all were better in other movies especially Bale. I expected a lot from everyone except Holmes and Murphy. Didn't really get a lot from none of them. They all acted like they were in a comic book movie. Not the movie everyone saying this movie is. IMO. Average acting with mostly above average actors in an average comic book movie and movie. IMO. Sorry to be a party poop. Oh wait no I'm not.

At least you're not trashing anyone while divulgating your opinion, that's a good point.
*looking at your post counts on this day*
Welcome to the hype man!

Christian Bale - Probably the best in the movie. He did a damn good job

Michael Caine - He's a classic. of course he was good.

Liam Neeson - Very good too.

Katie Holmes - Kick her face. Awful.

Gary Oldman - Excelent.

Morgan Freeman - Terrific, he was extraordinary.

Cillian Murphy - For me, open eyes and slow voice are not "scary."

Tom Wilkinson - Another great performance.

Narrows Kid - Kill him.

My vote goes to Bale who had lots to do and did it really good, but almost all of them were simply fantastic.

LMFAO....Thanks, that made my day. I couldnt agree more. Although I actually think the two kids in Spiderman 2 who give Peter his mask back are even worse, they should definately die.

I'm going w/ 'Darkman', his devotion to Rahs and his admirance for Bruce was on point.

Christian Bale - The best performence, he was an incredible Batman/Bruce Wayne!

Michael Caine - Like Bale was the best Batman, Caine was definitely the best Alfred. He's not too far behind Bale in terms of performence.

Katie Holmes - Terrible, but at least she tried. She was still pretty terrible though.

Liam Neeson - He was awesome, a great villain and mentor for the film.

Cillian Murphy - An amazing Scarecrow! His voice is chilling and his performence was frightening (in a good way).

Gary Oldman - The best Gordon imaginable. He came straight out of Year One!

Morgan Freeman - I never really liked the idea of Lucius Fox on film, but Freeman convinced me otherwise.

Tom Wilkinson - He did a good job for his small part. He should've had a bigger part and his performence was kinda underrated IMO.

It was Christian Bale's movie. He's one of the best actors out there right now, and he maintained that standard for "Batman Begins" when he could have easily slummed it if he'd wanted. With every other Batman film (even the 60s Adam West one), it was the villains who dominated the movie. But in "Batman Begins", Christian Bale delivered a performance with both heart and intensity, and at long last managed to make Batman the most engaging, compelling character in his own movie.

But I think kudos must also go to Cillian Murphy. His role as Dr. Crane was a relatively small one, but he played it very well. As well as the "creepy" elements many have commented on, I liked how he also added some nuance to the character. Notice how in the scenes with both Rachel Dawes and the woman at the police department, he's unable to make eye contact with the woman he's talking to, constantly fidgeting and looking away from them. I thought that was a nice little touch that not many others have picked up on.

But really, I don't think I could fault anyone in the cast - Narrow's Kid aside. The whole ensemble did great, and everyone had at least one moment to shine.

Hmmm, #1 is easily Bale. He carried the weight of the film, showed the most range, and basically played various parts of this character's life to perfection. Not including the three different stages of the grown up Bruce's personality.

#2 for me was definetely Morgan Freeman. His character was just so warm and loveable. His character gives a great connection to Bruce's father, from a morally correct business side. I think if played right, this character could take an ultimately more important role in the mythos.

Coming in at #3 was Cillian Murphy. Granted his character didn't call for ALOT of screen time, I felt his villanous potrayl of Johnothan Crane was very creepy and just made your skin crawl.

Aren't those Tobey's little brothers?

THE NARROWS KID IS ROBIN THE NARROWS KID IS ROBIN lol jk bale hands freakin down, exact words i said of brandon routh of superman returns. this thread is more acceptable than the sr one though seeing as this is a pretty big cast, while sr has lesser known actors and it really came down to just brandon and spacey.

Oh yes, they are.

But the 1st prize for Annoying Kids in a superhero movie goies for Raimi's 'wicked cool' children.
also for the most uncessary children who interupted a perfectly fine scene that had nothing to do with them.

also for the fact that people were up there DYING

You want children to die? WTF? :down

I think it's Liam Neeson hands down. He totally owns every scene that he's in.

My turn at this.

Christian Bale - Great Batman. Looked the part, acted the part. Whispered too often though. I know Batman is a quiet guy, but come on. Speak up!

Michael Caine - My favorite Alfred. A very warm, comforting performance.

Katie Holmes - :ninja:

Liam Neeson - I can't think of anyone else playing him. He was great as Ducard and Ra's.

Cillian Murphy - His eyes are chilling. A great Scarecrow. Could've been in costume more though.

Gary Oldman - The definitive Gordon. Best casting ever--just spot on.

Morgan Freeman - He's Lucius Fox!

Tom Wilkinson - Not really Falcone-ish, and the accent bothered me a bit. He was good, but I could see someone else playing him.

Bale owned his role. But everyone played there roles well, except for Holmes who I found unbearable!
