Agree on all points.

No matter the circumstance, no one can argue against Holmes being the weakest link in the cast chain. As soon as she started huffing arond barking orders to Crane at Arkham, my faith in her went completely out the window and I didn't believe her performance a second longer.

Aside from that, everyone took their roles to heart, and it shows.

With the weight of the title role on his shoulders, Bale excelled and made yet another example of why he's one of the finest young working actors today.

Though a passionate belover of Michael Gough, Caine's Alfred was great.

Aside from Bale, I'd have to say Cillian Murphy gave the best performance. Though a character like the Joker is more deserving of being portrayed in an over the top fashion, I hope Ledger follows in Murphy's footsteps and plays Joker with a strong foundation of psychotic menace, rather than playing him like a two dimensional cartoon character akin to the rogues of the Schumacher films.

Bale all the way. The entire cast was excellent, but Bale's performance was bold and pissed off a lot of people. I like that.

Well put.

And at the risk of being flamed by all the Burton fans, I hope he avoids Nicholson's portrayal at all costs.

Bale: It may not fit the concensus here but i was dissapointed with his performance after his amazing turns in american psycho and the machinist his BB work pales in comparison.

Caine: I respect him as an acting legend but i just didnt see alfred when i watched him alfred is NOT a cockney geezer turned butler.

Neeson:The same as with caine neeson was wrong for the role ken Wattanabe should have been Ras he looked more like him and the scene where he tells bruce his plans for gotham show the ras intensity neeson was so calm i thought he was asleep did he raise his voice once?.

Holmes: Solid but nothing specieal i cant help it whenever i see her i think of her arguing with pacey from the dawson.

Katie gave the most straight forward, not played for laughs performance in the whole film.
What is "Nolan and Raimi are the new Burtons" supposed to mean?
Oh yes, they are.

But the 1st prize for Annoying Kids in a superhero movie goies for Raimi's 'wicked cool' children.
Has to be Jason White (Superman Returns) for me.

And Chris Evans from the Fantastic Four movies. :woot:

Everyone was great except Holmes who was the weakest link. I'm gonna say Tom Wilkinson because he was playing against type and was actully really good. I don't think the others where really pushed past their acting boundaries.

Tom wilkonson was a bit rubbish IMO he tried but i would love to have seen someone like andy garcia in that role just as i would love to see garcia as maroni in TDK he has the quite menace needed for the role i didnt find wilkonson in the least bit intimidating.

bale bale bale bale bale bale

seriously this guy is great in any role harsh times wouldve been horrible if it werent for him

You're right but you know that's just not how things work around here. You either love it or hate it, no middle ground.

And i say katie because I've seen star wars episode 1 and was more impressed with quigon than liam's similar role here. He looked so bored. I've got nothing against bale but I also wasn't really seeing much here than what you'd find in an average performance by macho man. He seemed very nervous his first time. He'll be better next movie surely. Phoned in is the words I'd use to describe Alfred, Red, and Super Mario Gordon... omg I'll get backlash for that but blind will protect me!

Katie, for all the hate she recieves held herself together. I can't say I gave much of a damn about angsty emo-hair bruce, but Katie added some real emotional ground that for some reason elevated my concern for her character even though she's really just not supposed to be in the movie. weird. OMG NOLAN CHANGED TEH COMICS!!!1 AHHHH She wasn't just a screaming lunatic like dunst. and she actually even gave us a treat at the end of the movie, so best damn performance in my book.

True....

Everyone was phenomenal and Katie Holmes was alright, but far from the rest of the cast

So is Holmes' crappy Dawson's Creek acting.:o

Its the nucleus for it....

Its also why I appreciate the effort . She wasnt as bad as one thought and actually did her best. Honestly you can argue Wilkinson was auto as Falcone and Murphy was bodering on good and ham it up awful. Even Bale's Batman wasnt perfect. So its all a game of perception by expectation and one can make a legitamate argument on who they thought was good and bad from that.

I agree that Holmes wasn't as bad as alot of people make her out to be, I thought she was ok, but best performance? Out of that cast? I can't see it.

Never said that, just agreeing with Weyseed's points

And one of his points was that she gave the best performance in the movie.:cwink:

Didnt say I agreed with that, just said I agree with the "for" points for Katie Holmes' preformance. She got a lot of unnesccesary flak but I think she gave a decent effort.

Bale naturally, but Neeson gets my vote. He took a rediculous sounding evil scheme and made me believe he was going to pull it off.

Who gave the best performance in BB?

The one million dollar question !!!!!:woot: :woot: :woot:

Michael Caine is incredible as Alfred, I loved him and each of his scenes was a pleasure !

But they're all very good !
