Venom, by far. The Sandman, for all intents and purposes, was a waste of special effects to me. I tried to get into his emoting and focus as he formed his body from the sand, but the FX was poor and the sequence gamey. Brock's looked the most refined in nature, though it doesn't make up for the fact that the only time I could honestly have a geekgasm in regards to Venom was as he spoke to Marko...

Sandman.

Venom is the better character, but his transformation is quick and mostly emotionless. Sandman's is the opposite.

Gotta go with Sandy. WATCHING HIM TRY TO GET CONTROL WAS COOL.

Gotta go with Sandman here. I liked how he tried to get control.

Sandman. The scene was so beautifully done. The way he rose from the sand, and the fell apart again, only to try and reform himself. He was like a baby trying to take it's first steps.

And, Sandman was by far a better character than the one dimsensional Venom.

In terms of character:

In the comics, I have to give it to Venom.

In the movie...it's not so black and white. Although THC gave the 2nd best performance of the movie (behind Franco).

I thought Sandman's was very beautiful and artistic and I liked the way he was struggling to get the necklace. I liked his struggle to not get together, but the way he walked afterwards. Like he had nothing in his legs.

Venom's was still badass though, and I liked how the music was playing during that moment, and how it was intercut with Spidey ripping off the suit. Brock's screams.

I'd go with Sandman's for emotion and artistic value, but Venom's for pure "oh crap he's coming!"

Sandman's. Both were good, but I found Sandman's to be more visually impressive.

Sandman's transformation was simply beautiful. It's the best,by far.

Sandman's transformation was pure joy to me.

He was like a baby trying to take it's first steps.
I found that original, emotional and visually impressive.

D!

Venom is the best Villian ever. but I will have to go with Sandmans transformation. Sandmans transformation is slow and not quick and just amazing. I still love Venoms transformation.

Yeah, in all of his other screen time, he was just to frenzy, and fast to actually see anything... him crawiling to the side of the wall talking to marko: beautifull :oldrazz:

Tough,very tough.
But I'm in agreement with many abut Sandman's transformation. It was almost heart warming.

I liked the leaked transformation of Venom the inside of his mouth seemed some realistic/animal like. :venom:

Both were freakin' awesome, but as many said, there was just something about Sandman's transformation. I personally really liked it because it avoided the whole "Graaa! I'm superhuman now, oh hey, I have nearly perfect control over my newly mutated body" syndrome. He totally had to fight to become a man again and seperate himself from all the loose bits of particles.

Sandman's transformation is one of the best scenes in the entire trilogy.

Seriously.

Sandmans creation was much better then Venoms.
It was both amazing to look at and very touching as he was trying to form back into a human.

For some reason that Jack Frost movie with Michael Keaton popped in my head during that scene.

I liked Venom's transformation better. The way the symbiote shines and the color of it looks so cool on the big screen. Then the symbiote goes into his mouth and it looks like its choking him and it pulls his face back into a smile. That was crazy.

Sandman's was good too, the closeups of the sand made it look like rocks. At first I thought WTF is this, then it was Sandman.

Sandman's transformation was an "emotional" one (refering when he's trying to reform himself for the first time)

Venom's transformation was a violent one. Seemed very brutal, very painfull.

They kind of reflected their role in the story...

Personaly I prefered Venom's transformation

i never sw better efects when it came to sandmans transformation.
it was just to goo for sonyimageworks.

why the **** did eddie gain fangs? :S Symbiote filed his teeth?

Sandman's Transformation, really moved me to tears . When he was trying his hardest to reform himself back into flint Marko . (So my vote goes to
Sandy.)

Brock's Transformation into VENOM was wicked to see .

maybe it was to show that Brock gave himself more to the symbiote than Spidey...which he seems to corroborate with the "I like beeing bad, it makes me happy" line and the rebond attempt before he died, but it's just an hypothesis
