Who in DBZ could beat who in Marvel/DC?

this thread is stupid theirs know point cuz dragonball's overkilled and dc and marvel are not which makes them better and entertaining not like dragonball wher the fight the same guy for like a 1000 episodes and they keep coming back to life all the time its stupid.

Ok lets look at it this way....Just about all DB Characters can blow up planets all day and not go full strength....

I can explain that one....

It's because every character in DBZ is ridiculously overpowered and created by people who sat around saying "Ok let's create characters NO ONE can beat".

So if I create a character than can blow up a planet with a mere thought does he automatically win over all DBZ characters?

Superman has a weakness....Goku don't....

That's why Goku is a flat character and Superman isn't. Superman's weaknesses help the reader relate to him especially since his humanity is his greatest weakness (or strength depending on how you look at it).

A character with no weakness....boy there's an interesting plot line.

actually, i really do think that was what torayama was thinking but thats not to say they are explicitly invincible. They just have abilities that came to be as a result of training, meditation, emotional rage, ur basic asian methodologies pertaining to power.

Whereas superman was made practically invincible right off the bat so clearly the reader/viewer can relate to the z fighters more since they prove that hard work pays off in life where superman analogously is the "rich spoiled brat who was handed everything in life"

Yeah something like that. The whole point to creating characters is to set them apart from everything that's already been done....what's a more perfect way to do that than to say "Ok my guys can't be beat by anyone outside their own universe....they're UNBEATABLE!"

No you're right. The DBZ universe is full of beings that go around and destroy planets without breaking a sweat...that's much more realistic than what we see in current comics....especially when you add in comments like "Goku has no weaknesses"....I totally see your point there.

I get what you mean and agree.......i think it is much more realistic because they had to work to get where they are at.....they were not handed a yellow sun and bam now they have power......they worked for years of their lives....some (Vegeta) every single day of his life to become as powerful as he has.......they don't have weaknesses like kryptonite, but who in real life has a weakness like that? no one does....we all have the same "weakness" as in we have to work hard to become better.....no one is born the best....we all work to try to get there just as the Z fighters did in the show......that relates very much so to real life......

I'm gonna tell you guys something cos I know that I can trust You!!!

From the age of 9 or 10 I always understood about my fathers illness, (Diabetes) now... My father passed away when I was 2 months away from my 16th birthday, But becuse I have a great general understanding of how life goes for different people... I was the 1 person who stood right in front of my fathers coffin and I didn't once shed a drop and this is becuase I knew that he didn't want to go on having to be a living chemist the last of his days!!!

The bad thing was.. He was only 43 y.o., but I know that other people on this earth, haven't met their parents becuse they've either been adopted or their parent(s) had Died when they were to young to remember And I know that I was lucky to get the years with my father that I did!
