Who Is The Better Betty?

For all the accusations of bad acting, I still must point out that her worst is at least 10 times better then Katie Holmes best in BB, and if we are speaking of the chemistry then I'd have to say 25 times better!

Her credibility as a scientist compared to Connelly does leave something to be desired, but I don't know, she was really loveable, and maybe it was just Norton's acting that brought the best out in her for me, but I really felt something for their relationship, just like I felt something between Stark and Potts, and thats more then I've gotten out of Spider-Man, Hulk, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Superman Returns, Batman Begins, and the Fantastic Four movies.

wow in all the threads ive seen there sayin all the 2003 hulk cast and the 03 hulk himself are better and stronger then 08 version it makes me wonder why did they make this remake if people change didnt really like the 08 ones, i thought fan hated the 03 version.

I couldn't tell you if those same people were hating on the 2003 Hulk before and then just jumped the "hate TIH 08 bandwagon" but I certainly have noticed a shift in the trolling.

But there was always a big group of Connelly and Elliot supporters, and those actors were great but I still feel TIH is getting a lot of undeserved criticism.

I never really saw the problem with Katie Holmes in Batman Begins. She played her part unobtrusively, and basically fulfilled the point of the role. She's a lot easier on the eyes than Maggie Gyllenhaal, in any event.

Betty was pretty much a secondary character in both films, and both did a good job, but Connelly looked bored. Liv wins this one by a slight margin.

Connelly, hands down. Betty played a much bigger role in the '03 flick. Tyler didn't have enough with which to work. She was just along for the ride.

As an acting contest, Connelly would win this hands down, But it isn't. This is a Betty contest. Betty is the hope for Bruce, his tranquil object of love. Connelly seemed very cold in 03's Hulk, whereas Tyler was beautiful, charming and honest. She really endeared me to the character.

I could get why Bruce pined over her, whereas in Hulk 03, Bruce could've only wanted Betty cause she was hot.

Liv's also I could since more of a bound (or lack there of) with her father when she gets in front of the tank and screams for him I could feel her emotion and it wasn't false or off-putting. Jennifer was kind of cold and Liv seemed in love and supportive while still being able to show her anger towards her father. Liv gave me chills in this movie (and I've never thought she was a great actress) and make me think she has more to give than meets the eye.

Liv is not a better actress, but she's a better Betty. Jennifer was annoying and I hated her every time she came on screen.

Gotta be Connolly for me, she was a more convincing scientest, and a better actress and her chemistry with Bana was just as good as Liv's Betty was with Norton, so definately Connolly for me. But Liv was by no means bad, she was a solid Betty for sure.

Liv Tyler. Hands down! She actually portrayed some real emotion for Bruce, unlike the last Betty, who was even more confused about her relationship with Bruce than he was! Jennifer Connelly was too cold IMO, but she was definitely HOTTER! LOL!

Liv Tyler is a fine actress, but her Betty was flat and uninteresting. All she did was go around saying "Bruce" "Bruce" "Bruce." Connelly's was far superior, but I blame the script and the directing.

Re: looks and acting dept., Connelly beats Tyler, hands down. But in terms of better Betty, I thought Tyler had expressed more emotions toward Norton's Banner, and stood up for him against her father more than Connelly's Betty. There were also more smaller moments like in that hotel room, the flight on the copter, etc. that makes me feel more connected with Tyler's Betty. So I have to cast the vote for Tyler.

Im one of the biggest Hulk fans in the world and I couldnt have been happier with Liv Tyler's performance as Betty. It was was so much more....Betty, I guess. I could feel the chemistry between the two and really believed Betty's unconditional love for Bruce. Which has been the driving force in Hulk even today, though Betty has been dead for years.

Norton was perfect as Banner as well and I cant wait for the triology to play out. If they end up going down the tragic road to Betty's death i could see the scenes between the two actually bringing fans to tears. I know when I read the issue where Betty died, about 10 years ago I shed a tear. the writing was brilliant of course. Peter David should get involved with Norton on writing the script for the sequels imo
