Who is The Greatest force for good on marvel earth right now..

Nova. That guy has more goodness and heroism in his smallest fingernail than almost anyone one else at Marvel could accumulate in a whole year.

I can't imagine how anyone would possibly think that Spider-Man has been doing any right things whatsoever for the past few years.

Seriously.

Just to put this sucker to rest for everyone else - Nova was dying a few issues ago and when he had the possibility of being saved thanks to AIM technology, no string attached, he turned it down because he refused to being associated with them whatsoever.

Dude is dedicated.

Or he's an idiot. I would've let AIM save me then I would kick all their asses.

Until they turned on that secret mind control chip they installed into your head of course. You cannot trust bad guys.

Fully agree. He's been a wet dish cloth, even pre-OMD/BND reboot, letting people tell him what to do, no backbone, no honor, seems puzzled with how to make any right choice, and doesn't care about his own wife let alone the swiss cheesed brains of an entire planet!..and they seem to keep portraying him worse and worse now.

Nova....is a good choice! He is portrayed stong willed, and honorable.

He fights hard to the end, and had a no compromise attitude.

I know Cyclops sort of has a death squad, but after what he
did to Osborn in the Utopia story
I would say he is a pretty great force of good. At least the guy is proactive. I love how they play up his strategic genius these days (like in Secret Invasion).
If they put him in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D./H.A.M.M.E.R. (or in his case V.I.S.O.R.) thing would run like clockwork.

Cyclops is running a secret death squad, once tried to have his own son killed, has a history of cheating on his wives, and generally just uses people. So... maybe not him.

Well, the way I looked at the question is not character but effectiveness. Spidey and Daredevil can't even get their own lives together, the new avengers have trouble fighting ninjas, superheroes generally fight among themselves as much as with villains, while Cyke guides his troops with efficiency, getting results every single time and finally has complete trust and control of his people, non of that in-fiighting ****.

The title says "force for good". The biggest forces of good in history were known to be tremendous *******s. Like Jefferson's bedding all those black women.

For most "inspiring hero" I can't nominate him, that goes without saying

What did Cyclops do to Osborne then?

Basically played Osborn like he is a rookie. Made his people infiltrate the "Dark X-men" (all this Emma keeping secrets from him were bs, everything went according to Scott's plan) rescued all his prisoners, recruited Namor, Cloak and Dagger, humiliated him in front of his troops, later on television and made it very clear that this is only the beginning. Basically he tore the Illuminaughty in two and created a PR disaster for HAMMER, taunted Norman into recklessness - with a huge **** eating grin on his face. It's pretty sad that deadpool and Cyclops are bigger thornes in osborn's side that Spidey and the avengers.

WHOA! I should've read Utopia after all.

Yea that sounds pretty sick. And Osborne made it look like Deadpool was a traitor and joined the Skrulls, so I think Pool ain't finished with him yet, even though he eventually got his money.

yeah, osborn is pissed.
BRING ME NAMOR'S HEAD, BRING ME EMMA'S HEART, MAKE SURE SCOTT *?@&# SUMMERS WATCHES IT! AARRRDGFDGDFDFDFDGDGDFGSDFSD!

Sex with black women is apparently evil now. =/

Those black women were his slaves. He likely raped them.

Oh, that I know, but to say it as he had sex with black women without giving the context definitely made it sound like it was just bad to have sex with black women. XD

It was more a joke, but it fell flat. I r sorry. =(

all this makes cyclops even cooler...i always liked him...but he is pretty darn smart.

Nova. Someone's got to keep the Universe together and after all that Richie's been through, he still hasn't succumbed to the Kill-all-end-all character switch. He's a Space Cop who sent to fight wars. Yeah he kills but so did Cap during WW2 so I guess its fair.

I understand why everyone is automatically dismissing Spider-Man because of OMD, but aside from that (and the stupid drunken hook-up), if you read what's going on in New Avengers and ASM when dealing with Osborn, Spidey is clearly being depicted as the moral compass. In New Avengers he clearly is the one speaking up to follow a moral code, which is a nice change from being merely comic relief. He objects to stealing a plane while the rest merrily board, using the ends justify the means. And Wolverine advises Spider-Man if he can take the kill shot of Osborn, do it. Spider-Man of course gets that oportunity, and refuses. He clearly is the one who strives to be noble.

This only makes OMD and the drunken hook-up stick out so sorely.

And Dark Avengers was confusing to me. I guess I should have picked up the related X- books.

Don't tell me you read Dark Avengers #7 and #8 without reading Uncanny X-Men. :wow:

Pick up Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia #1 (it's a one-shot), and read Uncanny X-Men #513 and #514. Norman Osborn finally digs his claws into the X-Men side of the Marvel Universe, and things don't turn out pretty. [blackout]Apparently Osborn is getting his ass kicked.[/blackout]

Yeah, I mainly read Spider-Man and things related to him, thus New Avengers and major cross overs, like Civil War & Secret Invasion. I read Thunderbolts & Dark Avengers because of Norman. Once and a while, I'll pick up like Deadpool when the stories cross. I guess I have to fork over more money to Marvel for the other Utopia issues. Thanks for the info! :yay:
