Who is The Greatest force for good on marvel earth right now..

Yeah, whatever. It's all dead to me now. I gotta bust out the PAD Genis series again.

I think Niceiza was having the same problems with a supposedly Uber-character like Genis as most writers have with overtly-uber Sentry, a character who's so damn powerful, why'd he ever bother joining a team?

Bad excuse. You shouldn't be writing the character if you don't know how to write him. I doubt there was any editorial mandate that Genis had to be on the New Thunderbolts.

Yeah, with Sentry, there's a good reason. With every other vastly powerful character out there, it doesn't make much sense. Except in Thor's case, where he literally bands together with mortals as he considers them comrades in arms.

Actually, Sentry could work if they fought threats that actually warranted Avengers intervention. Whenever somebody says this guy is too powerful to be in a team setting, I always point to Morrison's JLA as the definitive way to do a uber powerful superteam. They need to be fighting s**t that will end the universe.

Morrison's stuff was abit over the top if you ask me but yeah, I agree. Thing is Marvel's overpowered their heroes so much that they're stuck fighting each other most of the time because there isn't a villain that can put up a realistic fight with them. Sentry "vs." Carnage comes to mind....as does Sentry "vs." Doom.

Though, the Sentry is waaaay above and beyond the rest of his team. But they play it well as using him as a last option, given the potential damage he can cause.

I'd have rather either they never brought him back, or they let him play out in deep space.

The Avengers have always had a bit of a wider scale when it comes to the scope of their threats, to be honest. But there's always a way that villains can be challenging to the team, depending on who's on it. Thor's on the team but you want them to fight Ultron? Ultron Unleashed: Ultron kidnaps the Avengers closest to him and throws an army of duplicate bodies at the other Avengers, including adamantium-shelled bodies, which even Thor has a tough time getting through. Simple. The problem with Bendis using high-power characters on his Avengers teams is that he just doesn't often write greater than street-level challenges for them.

Yeah, the Sentry is definitely the deus ex machina of the Avengers as Bendis writes it. Before, Avengers just fought tough foes that no one hero could stand against, and that was the purpose of the team.

Under Bendis' watch, it's literally villans that one of them could put down easily, but he has a team anyway, for no good reason other than to have one. =/

Sentry would be best relegated to his own little corner of the MU just doing Sentry things, or portrayed as someone who uses so little power as to prevent a Void attack, that things pose a challenge to him.

ok i will bite
love Nova but i would go with Hercules
cause i love his swagger and his boom boom boom let the beat Drop. He's so 2000 and 8 the others are 2000 and late.Hehe
... plus he's a shagging machine all the while he saves the universe!
and you cant beat that!

Isn't Hawkeye more the opposite right now? =/

He was a good guy, now he goes off into extreme temper tantrums, makes rash moves, and thinks all his problems will go away with killing? =/

So 616 Hawkeye is basically Ulimate Hawkeye, except not suicidal, and even hen we have Bullseye/Hawkeye for that.

He just got his wife back. Shouldn't he be less of an a-hole than Ultimate Hawkeye?

No, it was revealed his wife was planning on leaving him still. And she doesn't consider him her husband.

Well, he could always start banging Echo again, or maybe straighten out Dr. Soffen....with his penis.

Which ever one used to be Moonstone.

Oh wait, I see what you did there. ;)

Yah. Some secret mission where they whine and fight, and Clint finds out when she was bringing back the divorce papers, that's when she was kidnapped and replaced. The Skrulls didn't know about the divorce, so they played it off as they were still married, where she was actually trying to serve him divorce papers.

No, he was a *****e before that. But he's definitely not helping matters with Bobbi by continually treating her as a *****e when he sorta wants to stay with her, and she's pretty much decided they're over.

Jeeze. Has he killed her pet and lit a bonfire on her front yard yet?
