Because most kids make movies lame and can't act. I have no probs with good child actors who's characters are directly relevant to the story. I'm sure there's a good story behind this kid.

The kids on the train in Spidey 2 is not a fair comparison. That was a cameo appearance by Tobey Maguire's brothers.
