Who should be the director?

No way she would do it.

This is the same world where Kenneth Branagh, who has mostly directed Shakespeare adaptations, directed the first Thor.

This movie needs a director with a strong pedigree and to get some good storytelling in the mix.

I said it on multiple occasions that Seth along with Fuchs as the WW screenwriter were my two biggest worries in the creative department so I'm not at all bummed by him leaving. But I'm apprehensive at the same time because after BvS's reception, it could easily be a knee-jerk reaction rather than a properly thought out move.

Since they would possibly be keeping the script by Seth/ Lord & Miller we would probably want someone who could identify with that tone- at least what I assume the tone to be.

Doug Liman is a very good choice in my opinion to direct this thing.

Bigelow isn't going near superhero movies, especially The Flash.

Well Branagh is not a critically acclaimed director like Bigelow. He got Oscar nom for best director, but he also directed Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Love's Labour's Lost and Sleuth.

And when I think about it Thor was really Shakespeare-ish, with king, conflicts between princes, warriors, romance, magic, etc. Feige didn't hire Branagh to direct Thor without valid reasons.

When is this movie suppose to come out? With all the news about this movie and about the DC universe after batman vs superman I am thinking this could be pushed back.

There's no way a quality movie will make it out by 2018 when they don't even have a director two years before the movie comes out.

Doug Liman. Jumper is pretty much an "proof of concept"/ audition for him to direct the Flash. And he has a good working relationship with WB.

I forgot about Jonathon Levine. He'd be great. For a higher profile choice, Shane Black or Edgar Wright would both be good.

Jonathan Levine would be good but I would like to see Robert Zemeckis (who is very unlikely to do it) tackle the Flash or maybe Shazam. He has proven with Back to the Future, Romancing the Stone that he can mix humour with action and adventure and he has a very good eye for visual.

Guy Ritchie is a hit or miss guy. I think Douge Liman would be the ideal choice. Edge of Tomorrow was a great movie, almost tonally what The Flash should be like.

I wouldn't be mad if he got the gig. He's more experienced than Smith, and the only movie I've seen of his (Sherlock) was okay. I'm sure there are better choices, though.

I'd love for Raimi to direct this, but it'll never happen. It's been years since I've seen his animated features, but I saw Ghost Protocol a few months ago and thought it was good, but overrated, so I wouldn't be opposed to Brad Bird directing this.

Shane Black is my pick. I don't care for Raimi's style, being completely honest. I feel like its a bit too reserved, whereas I'd like to see a director that can bring out the Flash's cockiness and give the film proper gravitas with a bit of a devil-may-care tone where appropriate; Black did this fantastically in Iron-Man 3.

I think it's very important to get a director who can do something interesting with the visuals. By the time this is released there would have been several seasons of the tv series plus multiple films with Quicksilver, so it will need something fresh and interesting visually to entice people to fork out their hard earned cash at the cinema

I think the GA will figure that The Flash is super fast and I mean too fast. Faster than quicksilvers both marvel and fox interpretations because of Flash having the ability run so fast he can go back in time or go to another reality. Thats definetly cool and hope they utilize the timeline factor in the solo film.

New footage also released of Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher on the set of JL. Ezra has a little stubble, he probably will have it shaved like the concept art. I'm thinking he grew it for a while cause they are not shooting his portions for a while.

Theres a rumor that Justin Lin is in talks to direct. Saw it on instagram so don't know how true it is.
But he is a fantastic choice. He made the new fast movies awesome, I think tonally fast films are similar to the flash. Humor with fast paced action and some serious elements. He can handle it

If Lin really is in contention, I'd hope Warner Bros would wait and see how Star Trek Beyond is received. I'd prefer they didn't stick us with someone genre nerds have already turned against.
