Who should be the Flash(es) in the movie?

Personally, i'd go with Barry and Wally for the first film, then have Barry die at the end of the first, and wait until the sequel to have Wally take on the mantle.

I loved Goyer's idea with Barry and Wally being Flashes in the movie.
Barry in the past, and Wally now.

Wally. I just think he's the easiest to adapt and in my opinion the best. I'd love to see Barry in a flashback though. It's a shame Goyer's script didn't take, I liked the idea of honoring the Flash Legacy.

On a side note; if not Wally definatly Barry. But in NO WAY should this be a Bart movie! He has NOT earned the Flash title much less a movie. Not the way Jay, Barry, then Wally earned the leagacies and reputations.

i'd go with only barry. multiple flashes would likely be too much for a first film where the characters and universes are being presented to an audience who knows nothing of the situation. tackle the legacy in the sequels.

I think Goyer had the right idea about the whole Barry/ Walley thing. Thats the one really unique thing about Wally, he really is the only sidekick to actually take up the mantle.

I voted for the last option, but I don't really know. I want to see the legacy aspect explored, as I think it will make the Flash unique as a film. But I'm not sure who I want to be the main character. I guess I'd lean towards Wally.

Jay's origin is a bit too much and too unrelated to throw into this.

Barry Allen kinda takes away from Wally being the first Flash here and having them both is a bit too convoluted for a film.

You got look at Flash and ask yourself why is this cool and different than other super-heros outside his power. It stems from the legacy of the Flash and how truely conflicted Wally when he always has a smile on.

I'd personally set it up starting with Barry West as the flash dying heroicly protecting Keystone City, with Wally as Kid Flash, and the next scene being a funeral, and the movie being Kid Flash assuming the mantle as the Flash. Let's do something different for once, we've seen an onslaught of origin movies, we've seen an onslaught of super-hero movies... Let's do something different....

What you guys think if the film dealt with both Barry Allen and Wally West and the Legacy of the Flash being handed down to Wally, in other words we would only get an origin out of Wally West and Barry Allen would be played by John Wesley Shipp the original barry allen from the tv series, the main villain would be Gorilla Grodd and you would actually get back story on him and the film will introduce Hunter Zolomon and the cosmic treadmill??? tell me what you guys think of that.

Because i was such a fan of the Flash Tv Series when i was a kid and even now that i am older, i felt that there was no conclusion to that series what if John Wesley Shipp would play Barry Allen again, what do you guys think of that, and do you think that he would be up for it???

Not a bad idea for a passing the torch idea. He could even play Jay passing the torch to a new Barry.
