Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 3

Kingpin is a crime boss. Spider-Man is a crime stopper. Kingpin doesn't like Spidey stopping his crime so he hires better criminals. Enhanced criminals. Spidey stops these criminals oneon one but Kingpin has an idea. He breaks them out of jail and has them assembled. Thus the Sinister 6 is born.

I could see Kingpin and Vulture together, but it also gives high flying stunts mixed with street level crime.

If hobgoblin comes I rather have Kingsley then do phil. My opinion. There as for returning foes I still say do build up for thrm over a few films. And again we bound to see folks like brock, ock, norman around before there turns. Just slowly build to it then jumping straight back. And it's likely what be done.

I'd take Kingsley over Phil as well. I've reimagined him as a business rival to OsCorp who takes to the underworld to raise extra funds and sabotage the competition. Along the way he steals the Goblin suit design from Norman and uses it to personally oversee his operations. While swapping in others into the suit to protect his secret.

You know what I thought? I'm willing to bet had Marvel have Spidey's rights for a while that Chameleon would have been in Iron Man 3. He would have been decoy Mandarin.

now i wouldnt mind seeing phil working at the bugle to live up to his uncle memory and all that and have him around. I just dont really care for phil as a goblin much at all.

As for chameleon i still would love if they say to play off his identity thing is he has or got access to one of those shield/hydra indentity masks. Would make for a much easier way to explain him off. While tying to greater mcu and not be just a makeup guy, or turning him into a gifted/mutant guy.

I still say, Chameleon is the perfect end credit scene to set up the Sinister Six

I still say do two foes first first two films. They 4 are all sent to jail at end of each film. And through those two films lay seeds that someone was in charge of them. And then in 3rd film again 5th member breaks the others out for 6th and there you go.

I don't ever see Hobby getting done on the big screen....there is a very small window of possibility, that something of that nature ever happen; and, it will have to be either sanctioned in some way or form, directly or indirectly by Norman/Green Goblin or someone nefarious and/or by happenstance, knows Norman's secret.

As far as Chameleon......well, lets just say Chameleon should be Chameleon. Not an end-of-credit setup for anything....that would take away from who he is.

How would a end credit scene take out what Chameleon is?

If I am understanding correctly Chameleon is a master of disguise. He's saying showing us that Chameleon is going to appear in the next film in an after credits scene would undermine that fact. Because we'd already know "Oh if we see Peter acting strange or another Kingpin when the real one is still in jail, that must be Chameleon.". Instead it would be better to open the next film with Spider-Man going into a bank then everyine cheers when he knocks out the robber. But, bam, he takes the money for himself and runs. Everyone is shocked and wondering why Spidey is robbing banks. Unexpected instead of, y'know expected. That's what I think he's trying to say.

I personally don't give a damn one way or the other. As long as I get cool Spidey action.

Well that kinda clears it, i myself would love either way really.
Chameleon is one of those villains that should be in a movie, WAY BEFORE Carnage or Venom.

You know what I just thought of that would be a near perfect casting?

Jonah Hill as Doc Ock. He may be too young but he's got the size and talent to be Doc Ock.

As long as it wouldn't be Jonah Hill playing Jonah Hill as Doc Ock, I'd be fine with it.

I agree that he's capable of playing the part, I just don't know that the GA would take him as seriously as they should. Chistoph Waltz is still my first choice for that role.

I'd love to see Chameleon.
I think Chameleon or Mysterio framing him is a really good first or second Spider-Man movie idea. And with Civil War having happened not long before, it works even better. The movie instead could be about finding his place as a hero and what that means for his life as a person, where he has to work for the public's trust after they're already wary of superheroes after CW. Meanwhile, Chameleon or Mysterio and Kraven the Hunter can capitalize on that and one will frame Spider-Man and the other will offer to hunt him down for the public. The Kraven aspect is flexible of course. That was just something I came up with off the top of my head. This could make for interesting Spider-Man on the run idea and make for a more personal aspect to the story.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Both great choices for Doc Ock. Wonder what film we'll get to see him by. It'd be crazy if they used him in the first film. But a welcome suprise as well.

If we ever see him, he fits perfectly for a third movie.

Jonah Hill look too young for Dr Octopus. Otto supposed to look at least 20 years older than Peter.

Collin Firth or Rain Wilson for Otto:

Rain looks a bit too weak and average for Otto. In another different version i think it would work, but Colin kinda fits more.
Which was kinda the point. Otto in the original comics was suppose to look physically unimpressive. I think Wilson certainly has the chops to pull it off.

I think Collin would be more akin to the modern 616 version of Otto.

Again two different yet somewhat simillar Otto Octavius. The weak and the strong. The scientist who has been bullied his whole life and the guy who bullies everyone because of what happened to him and his own interest.
