Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 3

Shocker would work too, especially for a young Spider-Man.

Anybody seen Hail, Caesar! here?

If so... I kinda want Alden Ehrenreich as a SSM-esque Shocker now. :woot:

Any villain could carry a movie if written well

That's all Whiplash should be as well, but IM2 used him as the main villain.

They can easily have more than one Spidey villain. Instead of random bank robbers or muggers for a scene, these can be some of Spider-Man's rogues gallery.

I want to see Scorpion this go round with Spidey. For Holland's first solo I like the idea of him taking on Vulture. So my choices would be Vulture, then Scorpion, and hen in later Black Cat. Not a big fan of Mysterio's. I also wouldn't mind some minor guys like Tombstone or Hammerhead

Agreed! Except I wouldn't have Black Cat as the main villain or anything like that

I don't care if she's the main villain, but I do want her there as the series goes on.

Get me Ralph Feinnes as Vulture and I'd be a happy Lobo lol. Yes, I know that's typecasting, but I don't care.

Jonathan Banks or John Malkovich as Vulture for me.

I still say save the supervillains for a sequel and have him dealing with the mob in the first one. They got a few superpowered dudes in their ranks.

This is what I want other than Vulture for the first movie. I also definitely want to see the JJJ dynamic with Scorpion at some point and Mysterio later on down the line.

I'd love to see mob stuff, too, in this series. Hasn't been done before with Spidey. Why Vulture for the first?

I still say have Shocker and the Enforcers as villains, and Shocker as the leader of the Enforcers. SSM-it up!

Spider-Man has fought everyone in the comics. One way to really integrate him even more into the MCU is to have him fighting someone else's villain in the opening scene (or maybe during a scene in the film). He could fight someone like Batroc.

Plus it's always great to see one hero fighting someone else's villain. When Cap fought Loki in the Avengers by himself, that was cool to see.

Perfect. Not 100% with Black Cat (as a villain) but definitely Scorpion or Vulture.

They'd have to tweak the character a bit but obviously Patrick Stewart would have to play Vulture. He's got the look and skills to make any role seem worthwhile. But Stewart does brooding well.

Just because Patrick Stewart is bald? Sorry. That's not a reason for casting him in that role.

Robert Englund and Bill Nighy>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jonathan Banks and Patrick Stewart

I don't even think Patrick Stewart could play Vulture. Hard pass

Other than the fact that he hasn't been done before, his battle with Spidey could give us a battle we haven't truly seen in the past either (with maybe the exception of Spidey saving Aunt May from Ock in the OT). It would be interesting to see Spidey going at it in the air with Vulture, trying to get possession of his loot, managing the usage of his web cartridges, and perhaps crashing through a rooftop like they did in TASM #2 and being blamed by JJJ. They can also lock Vulture up and give him the opportunity for team ups with villains in the future, especially if the idea of a S6 movie isn't completely dead.

I also know going the Ultimate route has been brought up by both Holland and Watts, but I would love for them to give a vintage vibe and start out with one of his earliest foes. Such a tone can work if they want to give it the "indie" vibe that has been discussed in interviews.

Whoever the villains are in these upcoming Spidey flicks, I truly want to see the progression of Holland as not only Peter, but Spider-Man. Cap's progression is a perfect example and I want that to be emulated with Spidey. In both harnessing his skills and his character, I hope we genuinely experience a coming of age in these movies. The rest of the Avengers being a lot older than him gives them the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Shocker is perfect henchmen material, I would be very disappointed if the isn't in either of the first 2 movies.
