Singer was a big part of FC. He wrote and produced it, was about to direct it but that changed obviously.

Most of people still don't know that was Singer's material used for FC.
I had to explain it at forum in my country too, most things in FC were his ideas.
Vaughn always leaves and don't make sequels.

And if DOFP>X2, there is that guy who makes good sequels.

Bryan Singer devolped story for FC and was hands on producer.He selected
the characters for film.He didn't FC because of a contractial obligation to do
another film for WB.There are rumors Singer really wanted to do FC more but
WB threatened to sue him for breath of contract If he didn't do Jack for them.

He was involved in every aspect of FC.During the london part of shot he was
there nearly every days and with rushed schedule there was even rumors a
couple of scenes were actully directed by him.

Reportly Vaughn dropped sunsot from script when he took over as director and
reduced Moira Mctaggertt's role.Apparently the mystique-Beast thing replaced
a Xavier-Moira-Magneto triangle.

If you like FC you have to give Singer some credit.

when singer was attached there was a love triangle between xavier,Moira and magneto, then Vaughn same onboard and changed it... And honestly I think it was for the best, the whole 2 friends fall out because of a girl or at least have their friendship strained because of a girl has been done to death, doing it the way FC did it was original and more impactful

I loved FC because of Erik/Charles relationship and how it was handled although I think the ending was rushed. Hearing that Singer had a freaking love triangle as part of their story just makes me dread him more. Look, I have seen this man's vision for the X-Men and I want to see what other directors could do. I don't feel beholden to Singer.

Honestly I would love to see Joss Whedon write and Direct X-Men movie. I think he would do an awesome job. I know it will never happen but a guy can dream can't he.
