The Dark Knight Who should know Bruce Wayne is Batman?

Katsuro said:
No, Joker shouldn't want to know who Batman is. I havne't read Arkham Asylum myself, but someone told me of a very interesting things the Joker says. They capture Batman, and one guy says "Lets take of his mask. I wanna see his real face" to which Joker replies "Oh dont be so predictable for christs sake, that IS his real face". I'd love to see that on film eventually. Joker's obsessed with Batman, not with who Batman really is. It doens't matter to him.

But yeah, no one who doesn't already know should find out. I'm not even sure if Fox knows, but it should stay ambiguous. Talia could know if she's introduced, and Selina Kyle could find out eventually, but other villains and love interests should remain oblivious.

That's a cool quote. It shows how well the Joker really understands Batman.

I'm not even going to get started... I've had endless debates about whether Catwoman should appear in Nolan's Batman's...

In short; I don't think she should.

In short; you are wrong :)

It's Mr. Superhero, what did you expect.:)

Just because I dont always agree with him doesn't mean I should automatically discard everything he says - after all, we disagree over Shannyn Sossoman and just about everything pertaining to the casting of Harvey Dent ;)

Lois Lane should find out who Bruce Wayne is, IMO.

wouldnt that be ironic if she knew Batman's but not Superman's?

ah well, they did say love is blind ;)

I'm sorry but Lois Lane sucks as a reporter if she can't even see Clark Kent is Superman.

 That goes for the whole Daily Bugle.

Yeah but Lois is the only one who ever gets close enough to Clark and Superman who should be able to tell their the same.

True, but not one person who works with Kent can put face and face together? Only in the comics.:whatever:

I've said this before. I would love for Gordon to know but not know. Kinda like a parent treats a child. They know, but they turn the other way out of love. But, in this case, it would be out of respect.

And, I don't mean "know" such as knowing and pulling Bruce aside, "hey.. Wayne, I know you're Batman." No.. no. I mean, "know" as in letting the audience know he knows. I think that would give more depth to both characters.

And, like I said in a previous post.. it gives credit to the comics. My example is from "Hush" where Bruce states Perry is too good a reporter to not know Clark is Superman and how that reminds him of Gordon.

I really don't want Gordon to know who Batman is. I actually think it would take depth away from his character.

Well, the comics never say if Gordon reallys knows. I just enjoyed the line in Hush.

Maybe if that was shown in some way.. without Gordon really knowing.

However, I agree with the line. I think, after all this time, Gordon DOES know.

Just opinions.

I just think if he does know, it will take away the faith that he doesn't really know who Batman is but he believes Batman is fighting for the better and if he found out who he is, some of that faith would be taken away.

I see your point.

As long as the love interest, if there is any doesn't find out I'll be moderately happy. Oh, and the villains.

Just stay true to the comics on the whole "secret identity" thing.

The next movie? Nobody else. I would like it if after Harvey becomes Two Face, Bruce admits to Alfred that he was thinking of telling Harvey his secret before his accident. Other than that in futue movies Leslie Thompkins would hint at it as would Silver St.Cloud. Maybe Selina Kyle and of course Dick Grayson and Talia if introduced.

Alfred,Rachel & Fox are good enough in the know. Or maybe Dent at some point. Dont care for the other love interests and Im even so over Selina Kyle. Others joke that Superman uses his powers on Lois so she wont really know his identity.

ANONYMITY!!
i don't think any more villains should know.
i think the only people who need to know already do.
and i surely hope that they don't give Bruce any love interest because then they've written themselves into a corner with the whole Lois Lane conundrum of the audience thinking "why can't she figure it out!? he's always leaving in the middle of dinner right when the bat signal is lit!!!".
and i certainly DO hope that Catwoman is in the 3rd installment of the Nolan Batman series, and if she is, i think it would be fine if she found out. she's the only female that would be able to accept that his anonymity is ever so important, and she resepcts that because she loves him, but can never be with him because of the inner turmoil that they find themselves at odds with.

"It's the so-called "normal" guys
who always let you down. Sickos
never scare me. At least they're
commited."

what can i say? i'm a sucker for forbidden love.

I certainly hope no one (except for maybe Two-Face in the 3rd film and if Talia is in any of the films, she'll know) should find out the identity of Batman. Joker shouldn't find out either. I really despised the fact that quite a few knew who Batman was (mainly thanks to Alfred) in the previous films. Then they suddenly disappeared, got a new job somewhere else, or got killed. Anyone agree/disagree?

Gordon I believe already knows, but in the 3rd film he should reveal himself to Two-Face and then Two-Face has to choose between killing his friend, or killing himself, so he flips the quarter, and it ends up tails. Batman tries to intervene but Two-Face shoots himself in the head.

And I think lastly he needs to reveal himself to Catwoman. Otherwise for the rest of the villains keep it a secret.

STOP FINDING OUT WHO BATMAN IS...that's why he gave the whole speech in BB:

"something elemental, something terryfing"
"and I suppose this is to keep your enemies from reprisal?"
"you're thinking of Rachel"
"actually sir I was thinking of myself"

How about no one else finds out:), because according to what I can remember, Fox didn't even know Bruce was Batman. Maybe I am wrong, feel free to correct me. But I dont think ANYONE else should find out he is Batman.

Except for Talia, Catwoman. OBBBviiously...

Gordon should NOT
Dent should NOT
Joker DEFINATELY NOT
anyone else in Gotham city...NO THANKYOU...

Im done:)

Well, there's always been questions as to wheter or not Gordon does know. He's a good detective and all, but as far as in the Batman Begins realm....I don't see how they could really squeeze that in the way it has been in the comics. Then again.....there's been things that have happened that have also contradicted him knowing as well. So....who the **** knows.

Joker should not know. The magic between those two is the masks.....and I think Joker wouldn't really want to know either, cause then it'd be the end of they're whole "costume party" type relationship.

But.....honestly, I have no problem with someone like Rachel knowing. Lots of people in the comics know his secret identity. Too many people, I think. So many, that it's a little obscene. So.....when someone like Rachel knows his secret, doesn't bother me in the least.

Fox knows. But, Bruce plays coy with him. Even after he described the fear toxin in a pretty technical way......once he saw Fox was in the room, he sort of went back to that Playboy cover act.

So, with Fox.....it's more of an untold secret between the two. Fox knows, but he doesn't really ask questions. Maybe his prior relationship with Bruce's father kinda has something to wth that. Maybe not. But, I think Fox is kinda in Gordon's position (in the comics) where there's things that can point out he does know. But, one can argue that he doesn't know either.

The Joker more than anyone already knows who Batman is....Batman. He understands that whoever is behind the mask is unimportant because that is truly the mask.
