Who Should Take Osborn Down at the End of Dark Reign?

I doubt he's a big stickler for administrative duties. That's far more Stark's area, being a business manager and all. Steve would hate being stuck behind a desk, and in policy making meetings. He prefers being given the order to move out, having some form of field leadership role, and then punching out Nazi's, or whatever.

Steve's definitely more of a field leader than a desk leader. Plus, the place you really want him is on the front lines anyway. It's a waste for him to sit in an office, given how awesome he is at everything involving beating bad guys up.

I just don't want him to go back to being Cap so quick. Bucky as Cap easily gives you a couple more years of fresh Cap stories. Let Steve do something different for a while.

Well, Iron Man did both pretty well (despite the vast protest he got from his team for doing so). I also imagine Steve is comfortable with making critical battlefield life and death decisions, not so much the idea that he'll be affiliated as any sort of leadership position with an espionage group who will always have allegations of assassination, and government head placement.

I agree. That's why I said "a figurehead" position.

Where he represents SHIELD (as in people from high up think that whilst the concept of SHIELD is necessary, it needs a BIG PR boost from Stark, Fury, Osbourne et al.

So they make Cap "leader" of SHIELD, a position which is largely title and telling him that he can still work from the field (as he would no doubt want anyway) and the people who want him there have no desire for him to be doing the actual behind the scenes stuff.

Then you have Cap accidentally stumble over some inner-workings of SHIELD that he doesn't agree with and look to clean up the interior in his own style...

To me, I think that could work... at least short term - which is all you'd want for it anyway... you know Fury'll be back...

Yeah his own ass kicking style with some spy espionage James Bond, Jason Bourne, ect type of stuff.

I'd honestly rather see Bucky in that situation. My comic shop owner and I agreed that it'd be cool if Steve came back as Cap (which we know is the obvious choice anyway) and Bucky and Natasha got a team-up book doing some Nick & Nora Charles spy-couple stuff all over the world.

I could be wrong but what i think is going to happen is that when Steve comes back, he'll be a little traumatized from seeing his whole life all over again and everything he's been through. Therefore when he comes back he's gonna want a break from being Captain America and let's Bucky carry the mantle for a little while longer while he mentors him from the sidelines. THEN, when the Cap movie comes out in 2011, he'll be ready to take the mantle back. Thats how i would do it. anyway.

What does Cap have to mentor Bucky in? Bucky's a capable hero in his own right at this point. They're basically partners now, not mentor/sidekick.

Osborn should call Howard into into his Office and say you know since we are trying to provide a new Kinder Gentler kid freindly environment. I want you to go and put on this sailor outfit and hat and I also cloned Three nephews for you to pal around with. Woolly,Bully and Schuely.
Then Howard says Man! are you outta your Quackin Mind!!! puts a bullet in ole brillo pad head. Becomes the leader of Q.U.A.C.K.( Quintessential Unified
