You guys are missing the obvious. The Green Goblin will take Norman Osborn down. He is his own worst enemy!

You know that won't stick forever. Especially since Galactus is apparently at his hungriest of all times. Didn't seem to have a problem making Galactus eat Eon or Epoch, or whatever that person is now. :o

In terms of the cosmic scale to Galactus. :o The Surfer generally enjoys the little people, and even talks with them often. XD

However, the Surfer didn't have his memory wiped. Galactus used Norrin's preexisting desire to travel the stars and more to be a herald, and the Surfer pretty much accepted. He knew what was entailed. Now, forgot what it was like to be on the recieving end of Galactus? Yah, because it was the people of Earth who reminded him of home and his love that pushed him to defy Galactus. o.o

That, be true.

Unless you're a super cosmic being. :o
I look at the Surfer as a cosmic version of the idealistic insider. Like a lawyer who does pro bono work or tries to defend smaller companies or individuals against big, soulless corporations; they use the standard lawyer tactics, which are generally considered pretty cutthroat, to try and help people.

The Surfer got into the herald game knowing that it looks like an inherently evil position with the intent to try and mitigate the damage Galactus would cause. He's certainly got blood on his hands, but his determination and effort to try and change heralding for the better makes him a pretty good guy, relatively speaking. At the end of the day, which would you want: 1) The Silver Surfer coming to your planet, warning of Galactus' impending arrival, and evacuating as many people from the planet before the G-man gets there, or 2) Stardust showing up, telling everyone that they're blessed to be consumed by Galactus, and slaughtering anyone who tried to escape the planet before Galactus arrived?

Spidey needs to be the one to take his most classic arch enemy down, and hopefully do it in a way that can somewhat revive his character.

That's kind of what I was saying in my earlier posts. The Goblin personae should be his undoing. And it should be Spidey who causes this.

Yeah but you're using a bendis obama in those quotes. I much prefer and believe the T-Bolts version.

The Diggle (Thunderbolts) and Hickman (Secret Warriors) versions of Obama also approve of Osborn.

Diggle's Osborn in particular expressed his approval to Osborn. He just had some concerns about the amount of power he was being given and certain accusations that Norman successfully refuted. He was impressed by how quickly H.A.M.M.E.R. responds and tells him that he has a tough act to fill in replacing S.H.I.E.L.D.

Yeah, in Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter. He actually pissed this peaceful race off so much with his antics that they returned to their ancient warrior ways, retrieved their insanely huge stockpile of weapons and battleships, and went to war with Galactus.

That's a point, when the hell is Godhunter 3 out? Seems like it's been ages since 2.

Godhunter issue 3 is already out.

Someone really needs to kill Stardust.

I am not suprised that Spider-Man is leading this poll, and I say that with a tone. Over rated red and blue punk.

I thought they went back DUE to Galactus, and just basically told Bill to buzz off, because they didn't need nor want his help any longer?

Isn't he a she? o.o Or at least most commonly portrayed as a she? Despite the fact "she" is etheral, and probably doesn't have a gender? x.x

Steve Rogers should take Osborn down since his return is coinciding with Dark Reign. Then keep Steve as the new head of SHEILD, with Bucky running around as Captain America for a while longer.

No way. I wouldn't -exactly- mind Cap taking down Osborn (though he has the least of the personal reasons to do it), but Cap as head of SHIELD (or HAMMER) would be....yuck. He doesn't really have the head or the tolerance for it, and is definitely more field leader position over branch of the military position.

Yeah, I'm with you until Steve becomes head of SHIELD. That's like asking Superman to run Checkmate over at DC. It just doesn't work. The super-good guys can't be the heads of spy/peacekeeping organizations because the heads of those organizations need to get their hands dirty. I don't want to see Steve ordering hits or having covert operatives disavowed and leaving them in foreign prisons or whatever.

STOP GIVING BENDIS IDEAS!!!!! :cmad:

I think it could be interesting for the US to give Cap a figurehead position as leader of SHIELD though... so that in the public eye he's the leader.

Then you could get a bit of material about him trying to clean up some of the stuff which he uncovers within the organization which has his own name on it, all the while the public keep their positive stance on Cap and SHIELD as well and have no idea about the manoueverings going on behind the scenes as Cap's facing challenges which have him out of his element, requiring more than just will, and strength to overcome.

I wouldn't keep it that way for long, but there are some things they could do with it...
