I'll admit though, the Goblin fight was probably one of the most heart racing, edge of my seat fights in any comic book movie.
The whole 30 seconds?

Firstly, isn't Norman Green Goblin and Harry Hobgoblin in the lore?
Anyways, I thought the fight lasted exactly as it should. Harry is completely inexperienced with the tech and in fighting so it made sense he would be clumsy and not stand up to a now seasoned Spider-Man. The serum although disfiguring Harry does it not also drive a psychosis? So I'm happy with that to explain Harry's continuing hunt of Spider-Man.
No. The only time Harry became Hobgoblin was in Ultimate Spider-Man, and it was still AFTER his dad became Green Goblin.
He didn't appear clumsy to me either. There was no learning curve. He was just instantly strong and a fighter and skilled on flying the glider etc.
The fight was like that because he was shoved into the last act with 5 minutes of screentime so he could [BLACKOUT]kill Gwen.[/BLACKOUT]
A lot of villains come in when the hero is in his prime, and they just got their powers/abilities and still kick his ass and last more than a minute in a fight. That is no excuse.
