I agree. I also feel like after Luke was framed for a murder that he didn't commit, that he'd be the last person to just randomly kill Elektra after clearing his name. I also don't feel like Iron Fist is the type to ever intentionally kill somebody. He only uses the full power of the Iron Fist on somebody who can take the hit. Colleen Wing is an archaeologist in addition to a martial artist and she holds a respectable enough day job that that wouldn't ever kill anyone even in self-defense because her reputation would never recover. Misty Knight is willing to use lethal force but only as a last resort. If she's explicitly ordered to not kill somebody, she won't.

Punisher is the loose cannon here. He'd be willing to oppose the Defenders to kill Elektra and fight on his own side. The Hand would be the main antagonists but Punisher would function as a secondary antagonist.

Colleen's a dojo owner in this show, and she's killed before in the comics. I think it's more of a last resort thing with her there too, but it's not like she hasn't.

And it looks like the MCU are replacing The Beast with Mephisto as leader of The Hand. Partially since The Beast seldom appears in person in the comics in his true form. Partially since Doctor Strange is also rumored to appear. Partially since it's to set up Ghost Rider in the MCU. You were totally right about Mephisto appearing.

The same site claimed Fisk was totally gonna be on Homecoming even when the actor said its not happening. I'm very wary of them to begin with.

Elektra is the obvious choice because of where things were left in DD S2, but I would rather she be working under someone as a brainwashed individual fighting as a general in their legion, but not be the big bad herself. Maybe Gorgon, could be their leader as he was through some of the comics. If they did Gorgon it would be a nice way to tie the movies to the TV series even more due to his leadership in both the Hand and Hydra through the years, and they could change him from being mutant to being Inhuman to tie it closer to Agents of Shield. Just my thoughts though.

Probably some greatly enhanced strength that's for sure. Enough that Cage won't be ableto punch his way out of it. And she might even be able to hurt his so called unbreakable skin.

I suspect she will have a package of enhanced physical stats, plus general regenerative unkillability, plus the ability to do broader feats of thematically-appropriate magic. The lattermost being generally for stuff outside combat, or for setting the stage for battle, rather than something used in combat directly ( ie, not so much with the throwing energy blasts at foes ).

Basically, Black Sky-Elektra will be someone the Defenders can only directly fight if they work together, and who can make it damn hard for them to even get that direct fight. To win, the Defenders have to overcome a set of mystically-induced challenges ( army of auto-resurrecting ninjas, mystic visions of your own darkest fears, etc ), then fight her directly as a team working together, then take advantage of particular effort and trickery in order to exorcise the Beast ( or whatever ). They can't break the control of the Beast if they can't fight her into at least a stalemate first, and they can't fight her to a stalemate unless they can get to her.

It's the being the Hand worships to in the comics. It's what people have been assuming is actually The Black Sky but we could be wrong.

I hope it's addressed in Defenders. Pretty clear it's the Hand based on the teaser and the voice-over by Stick. Whether that means they are fighting Elektra or whoever...

Too bad they can't use Gorgon. He'd be a good stand-in villain to lead the Hand, at least better than Nobu. I mean I'm not even sure they can't use Gorgon, but I'm assuming they can't since he's a Mutant character and he debuted in the Wolverine comics.

I don't think they dug such a big hole for the tomb/sarcophagus. I believe something might come from it. I believe the hole will be part of the Defenders miniseries. Something big might come from it.

Too bad they can't use Gorgan but there are a number of cool Hand members they could use that they have the rights for if they want to up their game as foes of the Defenders.
