I would like to see Jameson create the Scorpion, that way the Scorpion can blame Jameson for the mutated transformation and then takes Jameson hostage instead of MJ.

Carnage? yeah totally.. He's 100x times more interesting than the generic cheesy villains of the month from the 60s.

Don't get me wrong I"d like to see the Lizard in a SM movie but not as the main villain.

Carnage, Kraven... can't think of anything much else right now

The problem with the Carnage's and the Venom's is what makes them interesting is the progression of their human counterpart (Kassady/Brock). I personally think the only way they can do ether one of these two, especially Venom, is the way they are doing it in SM3, with Brock kind of paralleling Peter, only he has worse intentions etc.

Cause once those two turn, what story can you possibley have, you have an almost unstoppable force terrorizing New York you don't have time to stop and smell the roses and worry about what Peter is up to

Carnage would be cool, but it would have to be a continuation of the symbiote, and then like connors helps spidey in the end, and figures out a way to contain the symbiote bye like freezing it

Right, Jameson does front the money to create Scorpion, but my gut feeling tells me they won't go that way in the movie. The audience loves J.K. Simmons portrayal as a stubborn, loud-mouthed, cheap-skate... I don't know if they'd respond well to him creating a super-villian.

They could probably twist it around a bit. Like maybe he wants to make his own super-hero (Scorpion), one thats better than Spider-Man. His intentions are not to destroy spider-man but to make a fool out of him.

^ Yeah, there's a number of ways they could go about it. I'm sure J.K. Simmons would love the extended role as well. :)

Its been comfirmed on imdb that in sm4 carnage will be played by rosemary harris aka aunt may, so end of duscussion.............jk lizard will most likely be the villain if there is a spidey4.

What...no one agrees with my idea to make Spidey face JOE QUESADA?

Yeah, on second thought, he's too evil for the big screen. They'd have to water it down too much.

What makes a good villian is conflict. The Lizard has a personal connection to Peter Parker. There's more conflict there. That's what makes him a better villian than either Hydroman or Scorpion.

to be frank i'm sick of "conflict". I am really just sick of drama in that sense. It doesn't need to be so weighted down.

A cool story with some kind of scifi in it would be cool

Hmm i think that Lizard Electro and Kraven would be a awesome to see on screen

Story-A Couple of months after Spiderman 3 Dr. Connors gets obsessed in finding a way to regenerate human tissue he hires Parker and Max Dillon (another student almost as smart asPeter0 as lab assistant, The three of them find some kind of cure, and Connors injects himself with it he turns into the Lizard. And so Spiderman tries to help Connors but is unsuccessful, The writers can do a Kraven hunt thing with the Lizard, And for Electro I guess he gets jealous of Peter and while walking down a street he gets there is a freak lightning accident whic results in a mutagenic change in Max's nervous system transforms him into Electro he discovers his new powers and becomes a villain.

Please speak for yourself. Alot of Spiderman fans actually like clone saga.

1-Why does Peter Parker always have to learn a lesson? He doesn't learn one in ever single issue of Spiderman.
2-What would fighting the Lizard teach him? Fighting giant sized lizards is really dangerous. I must try to avoid doing that with the millionsof other lizards around.

I'm with him on the clone saga I mean I like Scarlet Spider but the fact he's a clone and that there is all these other clones I don't. As far as peter learning a lesson that is Raimi's thing but on top of that it's character development most every geat story has it. He can learn alot from te Lizard such as being put in the position where he has to chose to save the Lizard or someone else so he learns you cant save everyone or he can learn something like life's not all black and white, not everyone is either good or evil there is a gray area.

This thread just proves that a lot of people have no clue what makes a good movie.

"No! Don't have villains with conflict! Don't have Spider-Man learn a lesson at the end! Let's just make pointless fight scenes and blow things up!"

Luckily, a lot of other people here DO get what it is that makes Spider-Man successful. And to those people, I say, "Thank you."

Dude you don't have to go beserk every time someone mentions Sinister 6 and Clone saga... but yeah I do admit ppl just throw in random villains without a story... but don't get on people and write them off if they mention those two things... you may not have been referring to that post above but if you were... we get it... or I get it at least

I actually wasn't referring to the post above me...however I was influenced by the post that was quoted in the post above me. You know, the one that asked:

This time it had nothing to do with the Clone Saga (even IF I still know that it would never work).

When you were talking about people not getting what makes a good movie were you refering to my post too(or just the post I qouted)? or were you referring to my post when you said people get it?(also as I stated I don't like the clone saga either and I think it'd be one of the worst ways they could go with a movie that and Manspider or Sinister six)

I think he was just talking about the person you quoted

oh okay cause I was saying that there should be character development and not just one big slug fest. but of course there has to be a balance.

Well, since Dr. Connors has been in 2 movies already, I'd say it's time to introduce The Lizard on the big screen. There's so much they could do with him it's insane.

I would also like to see Scorpion make an appearance. Perhaps he could be a side villain and Lizard be the starring Villain or vice versa. Someone mentioned earlier that the hatred Jameson has for Spidey this time around could be the turning point for Jameson to bring in The Scorpion.

I was going to say Hobgoblin as the main Villain but we've already had two Goblins as it is, and don't want to over use the Goblins. And also have Electro as a secondary Villain.

Carnage might be a little to scary for the kids (even if he isn't meant to entertain kids). I would love to see him in a future film.

Shocker would be a great bad guy, but with the bashing I've heard on him, it might not be good idea.

Mysterio would definately work, but I'm not sure if kids want to see a guy do Magic tricks. Then again who knows?

Jack O'Lantern is one of my favorites, but he might be a little too unrealistic for people with his head afire.

I'm kinda tired of hearing about Venom, it's Venom Venom Venom, so I hope he doesn't get to be the Villain in two movies, seeing as GG1 and Doc Ock got only one. But if he does, that's fine, I just don't want him to overshadow any other Villains potential.

Anyway, I'd want The Lizard to be the Villain in Spidey 4.

I garuntee it is Lizard, they are spending a considerable amount of time setting him up, and in terms of a story they could weave a nice one up with the connection of Conners helping peter out with the symbiote, and peter now has to help him out

I think Mysterio visually is easily the most compelling villain, with a budget of like infinity they could do some wicked stuff with him, just the story would not be quite so strong, so I would hope they make him a A2 villain to go with like Scorpions A1 or something

I am a big shocker fan, tho he is not very moble at all and doesn't equate to great fights, but I would still like to see him in a movie

Shocker is a villain none the less and can pose a great problem for Spidey. These are the movies and these villains can be a lot more sinister.

I'm sure they would find away, just from the outside it seems like he would be a tough villain to do anything but stand and shoot ya know? Not that it wouldn't be sweet, just if he is the only villain, or the main villain I don't know if it would translate that well

Dr Curt Connors aka The Lizard is the obvious choice .

But I DO think we need another villain for spicing things up and my choice would be the most villain related to JJJ

Mac Gargan/Scorpion

So my dream team for Spidey 4

Lizard/Scorpion

I actually like the Shocker.

Don't know where'd he fit in, and he obviously couldn't hold his own movie (or even half a movie), but it'd be nice to see him.

I think they can find a way to fit him in. Like I said before there is a place and story for all his classic villains in relation to Peter.

Lizard has always been one of my fav. villains because not only is he great for action scenes, but he takes a toll on Peter emotionally since his alter-ego and Spider-man are friends. Plus, he's already been introduced. Chameleon might be interesting as a side villain. He could really mess with Peter's head, but people really want to see big fight scenes.

Kraven for SM4?
Clone saga?...
Kraven would work IF they worked him into the Lizard story. Otherwise, I would say that he is a bland character and one of my least favorite Spider-Man villains.

Clone Saga, I can't even begin to defend. I liked all 3 Clone Sagas, but they will NEVER make a good movie.
