so why wouldent fox wait for singer to be done with Sr instead of rushing x3.

He said he would do it..and you can hardly blame the guy for doing Sr..x3 hadent even been anounced untill after he signed...and the only reason it had been announced then is because he signed.

lol these forums are hiliarious yes i know that not just cyclops fans are mad. so are the rogue fans, mystique fans, and the people who wanted a movie version of the comicbook story. do you know whats happens when you try to make a comicbook movie as close to a comicbook as possible? batman and robin. did you guys seriously want that? cyclops and rogue have proved useless since the first movie they weren't needed. that is singer and his writers fault. rogue isn't the rogue people wanted to see because singer and pals wrote her that way. mystique isn't in the movie that much because rebecca romjin wasn't available because she was shooting her show that was cancelled. people need to understand that the movies haven't ever cpoied the comic accept for some characxters names and powers. rogue was supposed to be a mix of rogue and kitty pryde. to the most part, i've heard people saying how much they loved kitty in this movie. why didn't singer just use kitty and give us the "real" rogue. you left to look back and see how many mistakes and changes singer and company made. not penn. not rothman. not ratner. they used what singer laid out for them to use. a comicbook movie grounded in reality that doesn't mimic the comic. i think they did a stellar job with what they had to work with. and for the complainers out there. did we see cyclops die? no. could jean have taken controls at the end and use her powers to throw him away from before she passed out? yes. could storm and wolvie been so emotional about finding jean tha they failed to look for scott? yes. could rogue get her powers back like magneto is? yes. this is all stuff that can be answered and changed in a new movie. but you people who are boycotting the movie because of this and that complaints, you are only hurting yourselrves because you aren't paying to see the movie for whatever your reasons. cyclops may not live because of you. rogue may never get her powers back because of you. gambit, emma frost, and angel being on the team may never happen because of you. if you want more x-men movies, then be an x-men fan. there are things i haven't like since the first movie. but guess what? we aren't watching a comicbook. so all i'm saying if you love the x-men, then love this movie for what is was...... a movie that gave us some of our favorite x-men. if you want the "mistakes" or whatever you want to call them corrected, support this movie. stop bashing it because its not the comicbook. none of the x-men movies are. stop bashing fox because marvel had a say so too. i would loved it if people on these forums would grow up and look past what is making them mad and look at the whole.

Wrong. Go educate yourself.

Pre production on x3 had not even started when singer signed for superman..fox were sitting around on there arses doing nothing...but as soon as singer announced he was doing superman and bringing marsden..fox are all like ''OMG GET X3 OUT NOW AND MAKE SURE ITS OUT BEFORE SUPERMAN OH AND KILL MARSDEN TOO.''

Marsden had PLENTY of time to film for x3...there was a down time with superman and singer gave him a month of to go film it. But fox didnt even want cyclops in the film

Singer has siad MANY times that once he was done with Superman he would love to do X3.

But noooooooooooooo fox wanted it out now!!! because tom rothman had the hump with singer

WANKER

Then kill Bryan Singer because he was a traitor, not Fox, not Ratner.

It´s funny why many people hate X3, because Singer is not the director of this movie, but Bryan Singer was the person who betrays the X-Production, only for a crappy character like Supe..... you know.

agreed and as as for sin city and batman begins. sin city was not really wrote like a comicbook in my opinion. its was wrote more like a movie. that is why it crossed over so well in my mind. batman begins was also taking ideas and changing them to make a stellar movie.......just like singer AND ratner did for the x-men.

That´s a lie, since Stupid Bryan Singer has a deal with WB for many movies with this company,

The Singer fans are hating this movie, since their director is not part of this third movie, and blame Fox, Ratner, the writers, but the only one guilty is Bryan Singer.

So Singer is supposed to wait on Fox to do something, when they were clearly dropping the ball when it came to starting production?

The man needs to work for Christ's sake.

Thanks.:up::)

And the funny for me is all the crybabies saying; "Why Ratner Killed Cyclops", Hey, Cyclops had a life with Bryan Singer?

I wasn't mad with what they did to Psyloche or any of the other characters...know why? Because I understand it's an alternate storyline...just like what has been happening in comics for YEARS.

This is just another spin on the characters.
And obviousl a lot of people liked it as there is far more praise and normal movie forums than on comic forums...some comic fans just can't get past the idea that this is an alternate story. NOT a rip from the pages of the various comic stories.

Ratner didn't kill Cyclops. FOX did

 . . . Well, apparently he had more of one than he did in X3 (I didn't think his role could get much smaller after X2, but hey, they found a way) . . . I'm not buying the fact that because X2 wasn't the "Cyclops" movie that he couldn't have had the role in X3 he deserved. Nightcrawler wasn't present at all in X-Men, and yet somehow they managed to write him a role that made him one of the most beloved/memorable characters within the entire trilogy . . . the same goes for Beast. He was hardly present in the previous films, and what do you know? He had a fine role in X3 . . . the same could have been done for Cylcops, regardless of the length of his time in X2.

. . . Besides, I think everyone's pretty much established that Ratner himself didn't kill off Cyclops . . . talk about a misinformed post.

It's unfortunate that more just can't bring themselves to get that point.

All of them. Fox for rushing the film, making it shorter than it could have & should have been, and messing up & messing with the franchise the whole way (can't think of specifics right now). Ratner for using Ultimate X-men crap instead of sticking to original stuff like Singer and giving mutants different powers then they're supposed to have (i.e. Callisto having Quicksilver's power). The writers for a lot of stuff, too much to name here and stuff that's already been said here and elsewhere.

It's unfortunate that some can't get the point that the main concern isn't that the movie didn't followed the comics page by page, but that it was in general a bad movie. :down

- The characers acted out of character
- It jumped from scene to scene without any moment to breath
- character development was almost non-existend
- The dialogue was cringe worthy
- Too many damn one-liners that took all of the tension away. Last time I checked this was supposed to be a movie about a war and not some comedy.
- 2 plots that weren't explored at all. We have the Cure "Oh it's bad" and that's it. And then we have Jean with a split personality, but she is a background character in the last half of the movie

There were only 2 things fans wanted.

1. The Phoenix is the main threat
2. The Focus is on Scott and Jean

That's all, and I don't see how that qualifies as wanting the movie to be exactly like the comics. I didn't see anyone being outraged that the Shi'ar weren't in the Movie.

The comic pages still exist. Those pages were never changed one iota. All of those stories are still there for a person to read over and over again. None of it was erased. The movies are completely different animals, and should be treated as such.

What should have happened didn't. That's the crap shoot that is life. You take a chance and sometimes things just don't happen the way you think they should.

Some liked the movie, some didn't. Some liked the Spider-man movie, I did not. Oh well. I'm not losing sleep over what is in effect spilt milk. If you do not like the film, you still have the comic page to fall back on.
