you forgot to add SINGER to that list

u gonna blame singer too? he gave you 2 good movies, moved on to do his dream movie, the guy tried

I blame Fox mostly but i do think the writers and Ratner ****ed up a lot too. Why Ratner wanted to make an epic, war and battle filled third in a epic comic book franchise barely over 90 minutes will forever be beyond me. Penn and Kinberg should not have killed Cyclops or Psylocke and they should not have cured Rogue, i also thought Jean should have lived, and Angel should have got more screen time.

Yup... She's a good stabber. First time I've seen her kill someone ... with a knife. pretty gory but hey, I like that.

So take that ROTHMAN! Thanks for f***ing up the Phoenix storyline. Take a stab, will ya?

... lol

go Famke ;)

Fox

They can get stuffed.

As evidenced in the trailers & ads there is more footage than Ratner & Co. would like to admit...most likely they were pressured by FOX to cut down the movies running time ala FF.

So again, if there's anyone to blame, its FOX.

What would you preferred they do to Cyclops? Either way he would have likely disappeared from X3 for a majority of the film anyway due to Marsden's lack of availiability...face it, Cyclops was pretty much screwed the moment he signed on to Superman Returns.

I agree with your other points though. :)

I also believe that when Marsden signed up with Superman, Fox had a vendetta. I believe that. Politics happen all the time.

I don't believe the whole notion of a schedule conflict b/c VINNIE JONES, IAN MCKELLEN, ANNA PAQUIN, AARON STANFORD had other movie that they did prior or even during X3.

Vinnie and Ian came in late September, with Ian barely done with Da Vinchi Code. Anna left in October to film 'Margeret'. Aaron came in late from "THe Hills have Eyes".

To say that Marsden could do anymore scenes b/c of his time with Superman is utter BS, since he even had a month of free time in Fall to do X3.

Yep, only SR became an issue...

simply because singer left to do that, i guess thats why fox took it out on cyclops

I doubt it, Ratner said in an interview he has a short attention span and wanted the movie to be under 2 hours

Ratner could have filmed the end with him returning in some way.

And another thing, i didnt think the action in this movie, Wolverine's fight in the forest was terrible, and the rest wasnt anything spectacular.

Fox. Penn, Kinberg & Ratner were just messengers. But I still hate them.

I don't blame anyone but it would have been nice to have seen this movie directed by Singer...

Rothman.

The writers did help[it was there idea to kill of cyclops instead of putting him in a coma or leaving the x-mansion]

And ratner helped too...the pacing was crap.

I think Fox made it hard for the writers to create what we wanted to see.

good point. That and the fact that Ratner was already saddled with Singer's vision and not his own.

i personally loved the movie and have seen it 5 times. if anyone is to blame it is bryan singer. he left the movie for superman stating " this is a once in a lifetime opportunity." singer left with his story, writers, crew, some actors, etc. if you didn't like that cyclops was killed, blame marsden. he was only available very a very small opening because he went to superman. if you didn't like the way the phoenix was handled blame singer. his ideas sounded awesome , but again he LEFT! so if anyone is to blame, BLAME SINGER!

Wrong. Go educate yourself.

Pre production on x3 had not even started when singer signed for superman..fox were sitting around on there arses doing nothing...but as soon as singer announced he was doing superman and bringing marsden..fox are all like ''OMG GET X3 OUT NOW AND MAKE SURE ITS OUT BEFORE SUPERMAN OH AND KILL MARSDEN TOO.''

Marsden had PLENTY of time to film for x3...there was a down time with superman and singer gave him a month of to go film it. But fox didnt even want cyclops in the film

Singer has siad MANY times that once he was done with Superman he would love to do X3.

But noooooooooooooo fox wanted it out now!!! because tom rothman had the hump with singer

WANKER

It starts and ends with Fox. A rushed production a bad script (which they had way to much input in) and a bad director.

From the beginning there were rumblings of a disaster, and the rumblings were right!

well i'll try to find the video interview i watched with bryan singer saying he left x-men for superman. i can see you are a cyclops fanboy and as all other cyclops fanboys on this forum you are all throwing temper tantrums. i'll post it if i can find it.

Exactly. And there was at least a whole year between X2's release and Singer committing to Superman Returns. Why was FOX taking so long to renogotiate Singer's contract? X2 had just made 85 million its opening weekend, and went on to do over 400 million worldwide. Re-signing Singer was the first thing FOX should have done. What was Singer to do? Pass on Superman, when FOX was seemingly uninterested in considering him for X3?
