She was lucky with Jumanji. She can parlay that into bigger roles, but I doubt she gets to A-list. Heck, even Zoe Saldana isn't even A-list. Neither is Elizabeth Olsen.

Karen is a decent actress, but she's kinda lucky to have gotten this far. I'm sure it was seen as a risk to ditch Dr. Who

She didn't 'ditch' Doctor Who. She was written out after two and a half series', which is longer than most characters last in the show, aside from the Doctor himself.

She's becoming a big star. Guardians of the Galaxy and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle are seeing Karen Gillan becoming a major Hollywood actor.

Uh, no..... Until she can personally get people's butts in the seats like Jennifer Lawrence or Chris Pratt, I'm pretty sure her being in two big blockbusters has nothing to do with her on a personal level. Especially when one has Dwayne Johnson as the leading actor, and the other has Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel and being part of one of the most successful brand names in history of cinema.

But, we are also in a world where big stars mean nothing anymore. Will Smith, Johnny Depp and Adam Sandler were once box office kings, but now that movies have gotten so expensive people have become more selective of what they go see, regardless who is in it or not.

The thing is bucky, wm and falcon are all supporting characters, in a movie like this their screen time is always going to be limited.

I think the way buckys been used since the WS has been strange, in both cw and iw hes been used as a punch bag. given the fact he was one of the MCU's deadliest villains in ws its strange.

Exactly, they're supportive characters. Even so, the Russos gave continuity to Bucky's life in Wakanda, this time raising goats, resting.
He returned to Steve's connection during the death because of "Steve?"

He should have had more fight scenes because he's great, but there are many characters here, it was expected that he would have little, even so, I loved the scene with Rocket.

Hulk mainly, especially given how the battles were it was crying out for him.

Captain America & Black Widow as well, although I had read before I'd seen the movie that allegedly they would both have more screen time in A4, but obviously given how unclear it was who would or wouldn't survive I didn't know if it was true. I can only surmise that is now though.

I'm crossing my fingers that it's the same with the Hulk & I also hope the sub-plot regarding with Banner & him leads to something really good for the character. I'm hoping he gets the Thor God treatment & we see the biggest Hulk rage in the MCU to date.

I also wanted to see Sam's reaction to seeing Bucky again.

She wasn't 'lucky', Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Jake Kasdan just recognised that Karen Gillan is an amazing actor - just like Andy Pryor and James Gunn both did before Jumanji. Karen Gillan has already become a bigger star than Carey Mulligan.

You only need to look at the very long list of prestigious awards presented to Carey from people whom operate the workings of Hollywood, British and international films.
