Infinity War Whose lack of screentime were you most disappointed with?

the overuse (or what felt like) of Banner negates it for me. We got plenty of Ruffalo

I found him annoying though in this. I've liked him in previous films. It did feel like overuse to me. Especially in a film like this when so many characters are competing for screentime and focus.

Carey Mulligan hasn't been in any big Hollywood blockbusters as either lead or an important supporting role though.

Yes she has, I've named the films in which she is a lead and also a co-star.
It sounds to me as though you don't watch or haven't watched enough films outside of the comic book genre and what you class as a 'Hollywood Blockbuster'. I don't know why you're trying to turn this into a competition when all I'm doing is stating facts and statistics to your biased assumptions?
Drive (2011) starring Ryan Gosling and Carey was an extremely successful film and made five times its money back from its production budget. It was a highly praised by the paying public and walked away with many awards and three times as many nominations from Academy Awards, BAFTA, Cannes, etc.
You say Carey hasn't been an important role? Have a look who and what she plays as the lead role in Suffragette.
Just because she isn't a superhero, doesn't mean her roles are any less important.
There is even evidence here within these boards where some people actually into this genre didn't even realise that the same actress from Jamanji and GotG were the same person... and these examples are from people into this sort of stuff!
Your judgement is clouded due to your crush on her.:ilv:

Carey Mulligan also landed the role of Daisy Buchanan in Baz Lurman's The Great Gatsby. At the time that movie was casting, it was the most sought after female role in Hollywood (even if the film disappointed).

This was banners best film for me, by a country Nile. Felt like he had accepted the hilk wanted to bring him out.

That reluctant hero thing wore thin by end of his first film. And then again in the aavengers.

Let alone all that nonsense in ultron.

They're arthouse films, not big Hollywood blockbusters.

That's not a big budget Hollywood blockbuster. That's an arthouse film.

Arthouse. Not as big as Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle or Guardians of the Galaxy.

She seemed heavily promoted to be the next Big Thing. She's still somewhat known, but seems to prefer to go for good indie roles rather than loud Oscar projects or the $$$ roles. Which I def respect.

Yea, I did name her lead role in the major Hollywood film, The Great Gatsby, in a previous post but as with other comments from other people, I've noticed that this particular poster seems to ignore the facts when presented to them.

Arthouse. Not as big as Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle or Guardians of the Galaxy.

Independent films or not, it doesn't change the fact that Carey is a bigger and more versatile name in Hollywood, British film as well as international film and the accolades awarded to her for her work from the very people who run and pull the strings shows that.

It's as if you're not listening to word I'm saying.

But they have more films behind them, so it's not really comparable. You may as well say Chris Pratt isn't a big star because Harrison Ford and George Clooney are bigger.

No, it is comparable because it is the same film and they're in the same film. The main pullers of Jumanji for bums on seats were Dwayne and Jack Black and not Karen.
Karen may well have got your botty on the seat but the consensus were pulled in by the male leads.
As poster warhorse said, unless Karen gets to A-list status such as Jennifer Lawrence, then she'll be, as you put it, a 'major Hollywood star' but as of yet, Karen hasn't quite hit those heights.
Carey may not have been in films that have broken box office records but she has gained a higher status and exposure within the industry and her back catalogue shows and proves that.
Again, there are people here that didn't and don't even realise that Nebula and the Jumanji Ruby woman are the same person, let alone the actress' name.

Bucky and Black Panther.

As unofficial new members of the Avengers, i wanted to see them added to the mix.

They didnt even address Bucky's programming being gone or even show off what his new arm can do.

Black Panther had some good lines but i wanted to see him in more fighting scenes. I think we got more Okoye action then we did BP.

Not only was that addressed in Black Panther's post credits scene, Bucky refers to himself as "a semi-stable 100-year-old man" when he greets Steve in Wakanda.

I'll take Banner over Tony Stark, who has really taken over the franchise. I understand that he was the one that helped start it, but do we have to have all of the ensemble movies have him be either the main focal point or have one of the most memorable heroic scenes?

I actually thought Stark was pushed to the side in this compared to the other Avengers films. I know he had plenty of screentime, but he disappears from the movie for over a half hour from the time he boards the ship until we check in with him again rescuing Strange. Thanos was really the main focal point in this one. Hell, I'd even say Thor and Gamora were more of a focal point than Tony in this, but not by much.

lmao thats called 'referencing' it, not 'addressing' it.

We know absolutely nothing about WS's state of mind right now. What he remembers, what he doesnt... He called himself semi-stable, what does that even mean? Could the code possibly trigger him again?

The biggest character development for WS cant be 'addressed' by a post credit scene and one line.

Yea it did seem like Okoye had more fighting scenes than Black Panther. So we might be seeing more Okoye in the next Avengers movie too since she will be alive from the start of the movie. When Black Panther & others like the Scarlet Witch, Dr Strange come back, it will probably be at the very end of the movie. So again Black Panther will hardly be in another Avengers movie.

Whatever you want to call it, it's been brought up. He's pretty much free of the Hydra brainwashing otherwise he wouldn't have been brought out of cryo stasis. It will probably be touched on further in future films since I don't think we've seen the last of Bucky. There was also the tie-in comic that delved into Bucky's re-conditioning in Wakanda.

Freaking Shuri, friggin Hulk, friggin Bucky, friggin figgers.

No casual filmgoer is going to know who Carey Mulligan is though, whereas Karen Gillan they will at least recognise as 'that redheaded woman from the Jumanji sequel'.

Arthouse indie films are not mainstream. Carey Mulligan would need to appear in a popcorn Hollywood blockbuster to be recognisable to your average cinema audience.

.
No, I mean she hasn't been in an important lead or starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster, therefore doesn't have the public awareness that Karen Gillan has purely from being in Guardians of the Galaxy and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.
