"WHY....?": All the Unanswered Questions about X3 Script

I create this thread to discuss about the script of X3 and to make those questions we have made to ourself and we don't understand why it was done this way or another.

I'll start.

First question:

- Why Xavier didn't go to Alkali Lake to search for Jean?

I noticed that a few days ago, and thought it was a bad decision, I mean, Xavier knew Jean was back, and killed Scott..... so why he orders Storm and Logan to go there alone?

Who else was he going to send? Scott was gone, Jean was gone, the young'uns were still in training... He had nobody else to send.

You also asked why he didn't go with them? If he had gone, too, and they were all three killed, that would be the end of the Xavier Institute. Somebody had to stay behind, and since they were the fighters and he was the commander, it seemed natural that it would be him.

If Jean killed Scott, Xavier shouldn't have sended two more x-men, when he is more powerfull than them.

I think is a mistake from the writers. Xavier was the one who can controll Jean's mind, so sending Logan and Storm was a wrong decision, in my opinion.

Oh, and what happened with Jean during the travel? was she asleep all the time? she could have injured Storm definetly, but didn't happen...... why?...... because she is Halle Berry? hahaha.

It was pretty clearly implied that she was asleep - actually, comatose - the whole time.

when xavier sent wolverine and storm i dont think he knew what had happened.
he just felt that jean was there. he didnt know if she was dangerous or that she killed scott until they got her home.

His reaction was very strong, all the school noticed, and both Logan and Ororo ran to him, he knew Jean did something wrong at least.

In my opinion, they made clear that Xavier knew Scott died.

yes, that's a good one. The x-men accepted him in the school, and he didn't help them in the final battle.

(although, we know he was supposed to appear a bit before saving his father)

I think in the comics/cartoons Xavier has some kind of mental tracking of all his X-Men, so when Scott died he automatically felt it. I don't think it had anything to do w/Phoenix rising she's powerful enough to block herself from Xavier's mental probe.

as for Nightcrawler you have to play the X3 video game, but it does makes sense if Kurt is devoted to God and his religion why would he choose to join the X-Men knowing that they lead a violent life, even though its for a good cause...so I never understood why he was in the cartoons/and the team..

agreed he just picked up his dad and flew off. Why didn't they give him a suit and have him in the battle. They let Wolverine join in the first movie straight away.

When i talk to people outside these boards one of the first things that comes up where X3 is concerned is Nightcrawler's absence and why it wasn't explained in the movie.

Weird how that hasn't become available yet. I'd be very interested in reading what Penn and Kinberg had cooked in the earlier drafts.

- About Nightcrawler and "Senator Kelly", the writers simply didn't care about continuity and didn't want to explain anything, just Forget.

- I thought about Jean's parents too, I think they should have include them again, or at least, explain/show where were them.

- About Jubilee, I think they just wanted to have Kitty as the new member, and decided to forgot Jubilee, and didn't give her any dialogue or a simple quote, nothing. (bad decision, in my opinion).

- About Moira, I would have liked to see a bit more of her, something simple, but that would have explained who is her a bit.

- And about the set visit of your link, retro, I will do a new comment in other moment, there are some things there I'm curious too.
