Why are racial stereotypes always so...

Na not chavs. The "Essex Girl" and even "Essex Boy" thing has been going long before the word chav was even invented. I think it started in the 80s.

When I work away up North or something and someone asks me where I'm from and I say Essex they are like "Ohhh you a Essex boy then are ya!" and give me a bit of stick about it. But it's all just a bit of banter. I take the piss out of them too :D

I googled Essex Girl and saw vagina. It must be wonderful where you live.

:hehe: That honestly doesn't surprise me at all man. Most of the girls round here love it.

Most stereotypes are just poorly thought out assumptions that stem from seeing someone exotic perform a normal act. Think about what type of stereotypes there are. Black people love chicken, kool aid, and watermelon. Well duh, those are popular products that many people like. It's obvious that plenty of people like those products, but the difference is when people leave their racially divided neighborhoods. They see a black person, and anything the black person does represents the entire race, because most people don't think long enough to realize that people are different. I meet alot of people by being in sales and marketing, and I can tell you that most people of all races like chicken and watermelon. Kool Aid never gets brought up, but I'm sure plenty of non black people drink it.

I think the blacks especially love their fried chicken though and here's proof.

Ahh that video made me lol and facepalm at the same time. It's hard not to laugh at someone talking into an unmanned speaker. "Oh noes we gotta feed our kids." The stores must've been closed that day.:whatever:

Some of these people traveled a good distance to get there though . I would probably be upset also .

It's one thing to be upset. That's understandable, but it's another thing to have a protest with the drive-thru box. When you're arguing with the speaker, you officially need your kids taken away.

Heh. Reminds me of the time I was at a drive-thru behind some lady who is arguing with the manager at the pick up window over who-knows-what. She finally gets out of her car and proceeds to make a big show of throwing her food in the trashcan, then drives off. I guess in her mind she won. Money still gone, stomach still empty...but she won.

They probably spent extra money on gas to get their in the first place anyway , lol.

Man... That Popeye's was doin' some shady, but smart business.

I half expected that reporter to end his report with the n-word.

It's 8 pieces of $4.99 so you save an extra $5.00, but obviously if you buy 32 or more pieces now you're talking at least a $20 savings. If you buy 64 pieces that's a savings of $40. They're not just driving all that way for 8 pieces. They're loading up on their favorite food, obviously.

Looking at that video makes me want to use the n-word, many times.

You've never seen one of the funniest South Park episodes ever.

I have a small confession. I'm white and entirely in jest I use racial slurs in friendly conversation with people. Is that bad?

Who ARE these people? What's the deal?

I had a black friend back when I was at school who i used to serve up for(not crack or smack or anything, just weed n that). His name was Chinne. He was safe as houses. We always used to banter with each other. I'd call him things like cotton picker and he'd call me a white c*** or take the piss out of me with the whole "blacks have bigger *****" thing. There was no malice in it, and I would never say those sorta things to other black people and he wouldn't say those things to other white people.
It was funny.

Friends and family. Of mixed race, I never usually assign a racial slur to a particular race either. I've got white friends that I call n***a and black friends that I call n***a.

I don't think that any of us think much of it but would you find it offensive if one of your white friends called you the n-word?
