If Craig is so great then I suggest Sony Pictures release some actual clips - 30 seconds or so in length - and let's see Craig *acting*. Let's hear his delivery, how he reacts. I'n not believing one word of any review, nor one word from any fan that's gone to a preview screening because as annoying a person as I can be here, I trust my eyes and ears.

But it's not like it's going to change. You, quite simply, just don't know what good acting is, as your reading of Craig's delivery of that line shows.

And you're not a troll because you tell it like you see it. It's because you tell it like you see it to such a degree that you're annoying (you've stated your opinion *far* too many times to the point that we all know what you think and you don't need to keep restating it) and fail to contribute anything of worth to the board.

I've got to say.....I'm a Brosnan fan. He's really the Bond of my generation, since really....he's the Bond I grew up on.

So, with that said....I was very very critical of Craig's casting. I was there hating and cringing with everything that they threw at him.....from the "can't drive stick" thing to the "got teeth knocked out of me with a fake punch" thing.....but......looking at things come together, and how he's going about doing a colder,more violatile and violent Bond. I like it.

I think he's got to be the ugliest Bond ever.....but, he's got to be the most in-shape, disel and hardcore version too.

So, while I'm not saying he's my fave....cuz Brosnan is....I'm not going to hate him without even seeing the movie. Bond is a mantle that is passed down. It's bigger than Connery, bigger than Moore, bigger than Brosnon and bigger than Craig....so we all gotta understand that as 007 fans.

I'm excited and I think Craig will bring something new and more intense to the role, which is something I think character needed. For too long, the character has been predictable, and "by the book" and entirely too much in his comfort zone. It's something Brosnan constantly complained about...and what led to the end for him and Bond.

Give Craig a chance....b/c he deserves a chance just like every other actor who had been given the mantle before him.

Are you really judging his acting based on one line of dialogue from the trailer?
I would suggest yu watch the full movie and see Craig's full performanc before you start criticisng like you know how he is thoughout the entire movie.

Just so you know, I'm not a Craig supporter, I think he's the ugliest choice they could have gotten for the role, but that's just my opinion. Acting wise I can't really say anything because I can't place where I would have seen him in.

Also, the blonde hair isn't what bothers me. Roger Moore looked blonde to me and he was ok.

Well.....I dunno....looking at Lazenby....I guess you have a point. And, there could be an arguement with Dalton too. It's just at some angles, Craig's face looks like it was beaten.....badly.

But, for every bad pic....I've seen some very very good ones too. Every picture I've seen of him in the tuxedo with the bow tie undone looks great, and he certainly captures that 'Bond' look. I also think the haircut, making his hair more spikey almost....has worked wonders, b/c when he was announced, his hair was kinda long anyways.

All in all....I think he'll do a good job. I'll be there opening weekend.

I think he's a great actor. I've seen some of his work, he does an incredible American accent too. Check out LAYER CAKE......he's pretty damn good in that.

You dont even know what you'r talking about. Bond was made into a comic in the late 50s before the movies and before characters such as...well, most of Marvel.

It's a LOT more than that. We have pics, statistics, video...plenty to help for an assessment of how well we think Craig will do. With all of that, I am not very positive he'll do well...however, he's been getting good reviews so who knows. I am not passing judgment at all, and anyone who says that Craig WILL or WILL NOT be a good Bond at this point is plain wrong, unless they've seen the movie.

I see people saying "YOU SUCK for saying craig wont be a good bond! The movie will be out soon and YOULL SEE Craig is THE BEST BOND EVAR!!" It's fanboy irony/hypocrisy.

If that's your point it's not logical or even accurate. Craig is an ugly or unattractive man - the five Bond actors weren't. It's hardly rocket science to figure that out. That's why they were cast as Bond - because they had a masculine attractive look. Cubby Broccoli cast Bond as much for a certain look as for acting ability (although the two often link together with Bond).

The bottom line is that EON is putting all their eggs in the "reboot" basket. They're hoping and praying that a new generation of fans who like the Bourne Identity kind of spy-guy, will disregard the Bond of the last 40 yrs and embrace the new craggy, ugly, dull, charmless brute that the new "Bond" is.
They may have nailed current sentiment and taste or missed it entirely. We'll see come November 17th.

Absolutely true. There's a ton of screenshots where Connery ended up looking pretty awkward. Doesn't mean I throw a hissy fit. Craig is handsome. Is he not in the mold of the past EON Bonds? Yeah, he's not. But I don't give a damn. His look is refreshing, a rugged look in the Russell Crowe mold, and it does what it needs to do.

Just because he doesn't look like the typical EON stereotype it doesn't necessarily follow that he's not appropriate for Bond. There's nothing wrong with shaking up the EON standard.

The guy featured in the 10 clips that were recently released on ropeofsilicon.com definitely feels like the Bond we know and love to me. Perhaps with a different edge, but it feels like a blend of Connery and Dalton. Nothing quite as foreign as many of us (including myself) would have expected.
