Why does the JLA style itself the Justice League Of AMERICA?

Why not? With the new, post-IC dynamic of every country having its own superhumans to police it and not wanting other countries' superhumans to cross their borders, it'd be a nice "F you" to the US, whose superhumans previously acted like the world's police force, to co-opt their greatest super-team's name.

I'm thinking that a story where someone sets up a "Justice League Iran" or some other country thats' know for sponsoring terrorism. Probably one of the fictionalized version in DC, assuming Black Adam hasn't wiped all of them out. It would be interesting to see how that played out.

Depends on what they do and how they spin it. All of the government-sponsored superhuman projects in other countries are a reaction to America's preponderance of superhumans to begin with, so they're ripping the US off in the first place.

I'd be less interested in explicit government agents than a foreign superhero community with actual contrasting motivations and moral dimensions. Like I don't know, an Iranian Superman who condemns his country's worst abuses but still to one degree or another believes in a fundamentalist view of Islam, or a Saudi Arabian Christian Wonder Woman who fights for secularism and women's rights. And then like an Iraqi Batman and a Pakistani Green Arrow or whatevs. Basically an actual foreign "JLA", not particularly beholden or even necessarily friendly towards the government of any one nation or region, but which sees itself as the defenders and champions of those nations' peoples, and is by no means well-disposed towards foreigner interference be it from government agents or just well-intentioned "American" superhero teams.

This will probably happen right after DC takes my idea to reinvent Superman as populist firebrand and ass-kicker of greed-addled robber barons, but what the hey.

Well boys, clearly they didnt teach much truth in whatever school had the misfotune of raising up you punks, but if you had been paying attention inbetween smoking weed and listening to RANCID you would have learned that the United States of America watches over the world and has kept it from chaos nearly everyday. That means that if the U.S.A. were to go on vacation for just one day, say to a tropical island to relax or even just in-town at a spa, you idiots wouldnt be able to keep it together and you'd soon all be in caves making out with your sisters again, and as sweet as that sounds believe me its nothing compared to the sweet freedom you're allowed by our American ideals and our American guns which work together to teach you and liberate you and also dont forget that our flag has more stars than anyone elses. As for other countries creating their own Justice Leagues. Meh, I want to see more international teams, but I'd cringe if they made it Justice League _____. It also wouldn't really fly from a political standpoint.

Alright, you could say that they are the Justice League of America because almost all of their members are U.S. citizens.
But then what about the Teen Titans of America, or the Avengers of America?

It doesn't have the same ring to it. Besides TTA sounds like something vaguely obscene, and AA is only appropriate for Tony Stark and Carol Danvers.

Israel is in trouble because they're a nation of Jews surronded by Muslims who hate them more than the Nazis did. We get in trouble because we keep protecting Israel, and all we get out of it is intellegence on the Muslim countries who hate us for protecting Israel. If we back out of Israel tomorrow, they'd be gone in a month, and then the Muslims would come for us, because they'd think we were weak for pulling out.

I don't think Iran or Palestine would actually declare war on the U.S. They may be nasty bastards, and they may even be a little crazy, but they're not stupid.

First the fighting about gods and the SHRA. Now it's about other Justice Leagues besides America? People, there was Justice League INTERNATIONAL. And then they were named Justice League America and Justice League EUROPE; there was even a Justice League Antarctica. WTF?! Really, what's all this talk about "sullying" the name of the League if it had something else after it if it wasn't America? Some comments are stupid bordering on prejudice.

The Middle East have their own ersatz team, it's just that where you've mostly seen them is in the pages of Suicide Squad, not in other comics. The team that fought the Ultimates in Marvel as a coalition of countries? Done in the 80's as the Jihad (later called Onslaught) by DC. Russia also had an abundance of heroes, just not state sponsored; well, not a team per se apart from the Rocket Reds. We now know about China's team and the remade Global Guardians.

I'm still not sure if the OP refers to the attitudes of people in RL and how it would "hurt" DC economically to have "America" in the name of a couple of comics. If it's referring to the DCU, last I knew Black Adam is the one with the monopoly on being hated, not the USA. The vast majority of the Khandaq people don't like US metahumans because they considered Black Adam their hero and later, their ruler. And the stuff with China is political, it's because they have their own team and they don't want people coming into China and finding other stuff they have made on the sly. The JLA and JSA and heroes operating out of the USA for the overwhelming majority of the people of the Earth are ok. The "America" in their names is inconsequential because the DCU doesn't follow RL events that closely.

If anyone had to worry it would be if a team of good superheroes wanted to call themselves "Black Adams' League of Justice", THEN I would see a problem with the name.
